I bought the recorder but there was never any mention about a subscription. In the directions it’s very cryptic and doesn’t explain how to turn off the subscription. How do you turn it off? I’m going to report fraud

I’m happy with the product. I think the microphone could be a little better as it sometimes doesn’t pickup more distant speakers. I also wish that it could recognize each speaker after they are named and would learn my voice so it automatically could identify when I’m speaking. I would also like an expanded and organized outline of the conversations with all the details included. The summary is nice, but a more detailed outline would be much more helpful for me.

This is absolutely a complete game changer for anyone in any type of business or sales. I use it every single time and it organizes all of the data in the best way possible to share with other teams or to reference for yourself. It allows you to be 100% present in your conversations, which is the most important thing you can do in meetings.

  • No transcribe audio to text?

I purchased the Plaud device to record ideas and thoughts on the fly for creative writing. Set up was easy and recording was easy however, once downloading to my phone, there’s no option to transcribe the recording to text. There’s an option to summarize or allow AI to write for me. HUH? Is this really the future where no one has original thought or Records original thoughts. So we’re all going to be using the same words and terminology produced by AI ? Say it isn’t so.
  • Cool device, but disappointing app limits its potential

I was excited about the Plaud AI Pin — the hardware is sleek and feels futuristic. But after a few months on the unlimited plan, I’m using it less and less. Without solid software, it’s basically a small Bluetooth recorder. Everything you capture is fragmented across summaries and transcripts, with no good way to retrieve, search, or connect ideas. I’m beginning to feel overwhelmed by the growing pile of unorganized transcripts and summaries. They’re just buried in the app, and honestly, starting to feel worthless. What’s the point of capturing everything if I can’t effectively retrieve any of it? Otter, which I trigger with my iPhone’s Action Button, has been more useful. I can chat with my notes, find patterns, and actually get value from what I record. Plaud really needs to step it up with AI-powered tagging, smart folders, and at least the ability to chat with all summaries—if not full transcripts. Otherwise, this ends up being just another gadget gathering dust.

I absolutely love my Plaud! It doesn’t take long to charge it at all. And I found so many convenient times where I just press the button and nonchalantly start recording something. Creating notes has never been easier. I have dyslexia and it’s nice. To just be able to listen instead of worrying about writing down notes because I know that PLAUD will do it for me and will do a pretty good job at it.
