I purchased this app last month in lieu of a print version. I’m very disappointed in this app. When you click on read current issue all that comes up is a picture of the cover and nothing. Very disappointed. I will be requesting a full refund.

I downloaded the app and paid for my subscription. I couldn’t access my account and emailed customer service 3 times and never received a response.

Twice in the past week the app has told me I need to subscribe, when I have already subscribed. The first time it did this I emailed Grapevine and after a couple of days they got back to me—by then it was working again after I had uninstalled it then reinstalled it. Now it’s doing it again and I’m done. I don’t feel like having to uninstall and reinstall again and again and again. This app is a good idea but I’m not paying anymore for it and will be deleting it. Please work out the bugs already!

I’m having the same issue as other reviewers. I have a receipt from Apple confirming my subscription but I can’t sign in. I’ve contacted aagrapevine customer service to no avail. It’s an aggravation. I regret subscribing.

Last week I tried to subscribe to the Grapevine App. I had the same issue of trying to subscribe but the same Techy problems as a previous reviewer. My husband tried to help me as well. We subscribed alright but could not get into anything. We ended up canceling subscription but sad about it!

This app is awesome. I love the idea of having all this material, in my pocket, 24x7. And the audio is great too! No more multiple apps of tracking sober time, listening to stories, reading Grapevine, etc. I am having some challenges tho. I subscribed through the App Store. It’s never really unlocked all the features. It tells me I need to subscribe. If I try to subscribe again, it tells me I’m already subscribed, and to use “Restore Subscription”. When I do that, sometimes it seems happy, then sometimes it gives me a “data not available” message. In either event, I can’t get the pay-for features. Never have gotten them. Please please fix this! This could be the app I live in once all the features are available to me! *** Update *** The subscription sync started working. I’m gonna change this to 5 Stars as that was my only issue. Great app. Having all this experience, strength, and hope in my pocket. Awesome!!
  • Poor substitute for the old pdf versions

The app takes away the ability to read the magazine on an e-ink device like the paperwhite or glowlight. It doesn’t appear to be much more than a glorified interface to the web page itself. I think most of us could have gone to the website, and, using a variety of services (nativenotify, webintoapp, etc.), created a similar app in a minute or two flat. And maybe the worst part of it: no native sizing for tablets. Meaning the website, and likely the app you create yourself at one of the above, actually looks much better on a tablet. Sadly, the introduction of this app is what prompted me to cancel my grapevine subscription.
  • Subscription issues

Paid for app/subscription through apple account. Never received information on how to sign in, despite having called customer support (was told information would be sent via email). Waited a week + then sent email to customer support. Two days later received reply basically gaslighting me be questioning whether I used the same email to subscribe. Sent affirmative response and a copy of recipient from apple. Never heard back. Have had a subscription to regular Grapevine magazine, always felt like it was a good tool and pass issues on. My eyesight is getting worse as I get older, so I thought I could get it on app and read it easier. Very disappointed with app and poor customer service. Luckily was able to file issue with apple and get my money back.

There doesn’t appear to be a way to change my password on the app. I hope that gets corrected.
