  • Problems with the app

I’m having too many issues with the app. I’m starting to wonder if I made a mistake committing to this program for a whole year. It freezes up on me often, doesn’t give me access to some features that I should have, it inaccurately records some stats, and I had a terrible time getting body scan to work, but once it did it seemed to be fairly accurate. And I can’t adjust my water settings. I would think that would be one of the first things and most important things to be able to accurately record. The online help had me to delete the app and reinstall it and that helped some, but I’m still having issues. I really hope these issues are fixed soon since as I mentioned before I have a commitment to this program for a whole year that I have already paid for.

They charged me two subscriptions several times. When I asked to have one refunded, they canceled my entire account.

I am thoroughly enjoying Noom. I am being educated, counseled, trained, understood and directed to learn more about me, my habits and how to become a healthier and happier person. This program is way more than just food and a scale. I am very impressed

Getting yourself in the right mindset is not always easy. But once there, Noom has more than expected for its customers. Tracking of food and exercise as well as a more important piece of the puzzle, at least to me, how and why this works - the mental piece. While I planned on trying out the free 14 days and cancelling, I put the ‘cancellation date’ on my calendar when I signed up. However, after the first few days, I realized I had lost 1.5 lbs and loved what I was getting! The price is reasonable for all that you receive and the accountability is awesome! Give it a try … if you are ready, you are going to love it!
  • Made me a believer

I was already working out more than I ever had in my life and I couldn’t figure out why I kept gaining weight even though I ate meals that were quite healthy. When I was I had seen Noom advertised for a long time and thought it was a silly concept because I knew what foods were good for me. After using it for a week, I was a believer and started sharing it with everyone. It’s a simple concept, but the app is great and if you follow some of the lessons early on, it can make a big difference for you. It taught me new habits just like it promised and I got back down to a weight that I haven’t been in six years.
  • So far, so good

I’ve only been using Noom for one week. Because of the commitment, I certainly have been logging all the information that it offers and taking the lessons. Most impressive is the food logging, take a picture and it gives you the items and calories you’re eating. It’s a good learning tool and holds you accountable. But you must be honest and try not to fool yourself. But it does seem like someone is watching me and making sure you don’t sway from your diet and lifestyle.
  • Why I’m Using Noom a Second Time

I used Noom back in 2019-2020 and lost over 80 pounds in 9 months. It was the best I felt about my physical health in a long time. I did it very aggressively, limiting myself to only 1,500 calories per day even though Noom’s recommendation was higher than that. In the end, it was unsustainable and I gained all of the weight back… and then some! In the ensuing years, I tried lots of things, none of which worked. So, I decided to give Noom another go. I realized that, for me, the thing Noom does better than every other weight loss method I’ve tried is putting my mind and emotions in the right place. In the five years since I’ve used Noom, the interface has improved, the parts I found annoying (group chat) are gone or optional, and the lessons are far better. This time, I’m listening to Noom’s recommendations and not trying to starve myself. I’ve lost 8 pounds in a month, and my average resting heart rate has decreased by 10 bpm.
  • disappointing shift to AI

I first started noom in 2023 and found a lot of helpful info in the app, and loved the voice acting in daily lessons and the community boards that I had access to. Upon returning in 2025, I’m really disappointed to see just how much AI integration has replaced the human aspects of this app and I feel it’s depreciated the quality and effectiveness of the program. I’m not interested morally in wasting water and energy resources while trying to manage my weight, and it’s been really disappointing to come back and see these changes. I’m also too small to be eligible for the GLP-1 program and it’s been really triggering to see that program as a major factor for a daily management user. Overall they’ve lost my business for life and I’ll turn to other apps with premium features that are actually lifestyle-focused and support change in the way Noom used to.

I keep describing Noom as WW for my generation to all my friends and even though I was skeptical going into it, I have now lost 12 pounds in a month. It has helped change the way I look at food for the better. Tech-wise, the app works perfectly.
