I refer to the maps and I’m able to see where my friends are with their Garmin mini.

Trying to create routes on a tiny phone screen is a lesson in absurdity. Should be able to use the desktop version to create your routes so you can use a big screen and mouse and keyboard. Many of the waypoints are labeled one thing (like water) but also have a tent site so really you have to click on every single point to see if it might have what you’re looking for. You can filter but it’s misleading to see a water source icon and think it’s a tent site. Overall found it’s pretty useless and I’m routing everything in GaiaGPS instead. Not sure why this is recommended by PCTers as I have been hiking for 32 years and find this mapping awful.
  • app arbitrarily blocks access

Do not spend money on this app! They arbitrarily block access to purchased content by preventing you from logging in by falsely claiming your password is incorrect. I changed my password 7 times, and each time the app continued to falsely claim the password was incorrect. I spent $75 on a trail guide that I cannot access now.

If you’re hiking the AT or the PCT you should get this app.

Please add more Oklahoma trails! I would personally love if a Wichita Mountains pack were available to purchase

  • Terrible UX

I really wanted this to be easy to understand and use and it is neither. Feels like it’s easier to navigate the Appalachian trail with a walnut shell and a wish than this thing.

Was hiking the PCT when far out just started freezing up; even updated the app, to no avail. Love the app when it works, but counting on it during a backpack trip is now open to question. Fix this problem!
