I’m new to Todoist from Things and am willing to give up a native app for the increased functionality. Today I noticed the iOS widget simply isn’t working. It’s a known issue, it seems, and a fix is expected “by end Q2.” That’s almost two months from now. To fix their widget. Their workaround? “Access your tasks directly through the app.” In other words, there is no workaround. A major feature on a Web-based app that requires two months to fix? I’m getting a bad feeling about this app.

A year or longer ago, you put out a big update and said this was laying the groundwork for changes to come. But ever since then, most every update is the same “just the usual bug fixes and tune up blah blah.” I’m confused.

Todoist is such a great app! For it being free and having the elements it does is just amazing. I’m an extremely organized person with a very high paced life, and it’s very very hard for me to remember things I need to do. Adding a reminder is sooooo easy, and very understandable. The checklist is just perfect! It keeps me on track and helps me to better organize my day. There’s been so many times Todoist has saved me from forgetting many events or to dos. And, it’s free, so, I highly recommend it with 10/10 💫
  • Useless

I like the way the app works but without notifications, it's useless. It doesn't matter what time I set the notifications for, the little badge never shows up unless I open the app first. So unless I'm already thinking about checking the app to see what I've got saved, then I'm out of luck.
  • Really Nice but…

It’s an incredibly simplistic tool that allows you to do so much. It can be improved on by allowing reprioritization of items in a list (ex: being able to reshuffle items how you would like to see them, not just how they are defaulted to look)

I’ve been a Todoist user for nearly 10 years. I use it all day every day for both personal and work action items. I use it to organize small projects and keep track of…virtually everything! It helps me keep my inbox clean because of the integrations with Outlook and Gmail. It takes time to figure out how best to use all the functionality for yourself. Keep at it and you’ll find that the flexibility is a huge strength. Over the years I’ve tried a few other tools, but never have strayed too far away from Todoist. It’s simply the best.

I’m such a huge fan of Todoist for tracking every list and keeping my life organized. The integration with calendar and the ability to schedule your tasks makes things so much more manageable. They are always innovating and adding new features that are requested by their user base and they continue to provide amazing support, tools, and integrations to make this the best task manager for individuals or teams. It’s hands down the most flexible and adaptive to be used how you need for your projects and workflow. I’ve been a long time user and subscriber to the pro version and I can’t imagine my daily life without Todoist to keep me on track!
  • GTD & Todoist

I have ADHD and love my lists but still struggle. I LOVE the Getting Things Done method and was so excited to see that Todoist has a template ready to go just for GTD! It partners so well with that system and is the first thing I have found that functions the way I need it to giving me ultimate flexibility. I hate to pay for apps and usually refuse to, it was hard for me to pay for this one. But once I did it was 1,000% worth it! I recommend pairing GTD & Todoist to everyone ADHD or not.

There are several tools, however, ToDoist really helps you to be specific and follow through in what you need to accomplish. Some personal organizers are too simple and don’t have many of the features you provide.
