    Now there’s a time limit for watching live?! Very greedy and unfair.This is the only app company to do this.Might as well charge us to text someone.Revert back to unlimited watching Livestreams.This has gone too far.Gove us a new payment option for those who only want to have unlimited time in voice-room and livestreams

    Hellotalk is not a language learning tool—it’s a glorified social chat app full of voice rooms that prioritize monetization over actual user experience or education. The app’s core focus seems to be squeezing money out of users, not fostering language exchange. The platform has serious issues with handling mass reports, fake accounts, and overall security. Users are constantly at risk of having their accounts unfairly banned due to abuse of the reporting system, and the app’s response to these issues is nonexistent. Worse, there are disturbing reports of the app leaking sensitive personal information, which is an unacceptable breach of trust. To make matters worse, there’s clear insider abuse by staff members who delete accounts to favor their friends—it feels more like a clique or toxic community than a professional platform. Paying for VIP is a waste of money. If your account gets mass-reported, you’ll lose your privileges, and the app won’t lift a finger to help. Stay far away!

    Customer service is lazy as they don’t do correct research on mistakes on their end that have to do with coding. They will lie and say they’ve looked or resolved an issue when in fact they haven’t. I wish I had other bad things to say but honestly they don’t deserve one star as far as the app goes because I learn a lot and the app usually works fine. there are some days when the app lags and Customer service is just piss poor. They don’t get back to you when they say they will either, you have to repeatedly reach out. Update* Their response is “Please provide more details, including a recording, so we can address this promptly. Your feedback is important to us, and we’ll respond as soon as possible”…. This to continuously procrastinate. They ask you for screenshots and screen recordings linking your account which is okay but not after you’ve sent multiple and they’ve made contact with the correct account. Im assuming they are attempting to resolve the problem by using a generic big corporation response(waiting for you to just let it go). Which is not resolving a problem it’s loosing a customer. How many screenshots and proof do you need to simply correct an account?? Also as a business when you say “please wait our response” I expect a response. I shouldn’t have to reach out multiple times on an email thread when there’s already been conversation/contact. And then for you two tell me there’s no issue when I clearly have one. Mind you they have screenshots of the account, screen recordings in video of the account, multiple pictures of the issue that I’m seeing, and precise details of the issue explained in many ways and the timeframe in which it may have occurred. This issue has been ongoing for the past month since 11/10 and still hasn’t been resolved. Update* as of 12/09/24 issue has been resolved

    I got this app and then I was banned I don’t know why I contacted the customer support and they didn’t help me they just said I could try to restore my device so instead I had to make a new account from my computer to which I was able to sign into my account from my phone that I made from my computer and unfortunately when I got onto this platform I realized no one here helps you learn the language you picked to learn half of the people who messaged me were men I didn’t get any messages from women at all one man was asking to see a photo of me and another man asked me what I do for a living I also had someone get mad that I didn’t reply to his text asking me why I was silent which is creepy and rude I also joined the video meeting discussions and no one talked to me either so needless to say if your a women with a profile photo of you people treat you like your a rabbit and they are a coyote no one here helps you learn something they treat this platform like a dating application I guarantee that 90% of the people here in terms of males are here to hit on women not use it for learning a language and actually talk about something worth your time

    They are so quick to shut down people having conversations in a voice room but won’t ban people on here who stalk and give death threats. I had like 30 people report my stalker and he can have a platform on the app after saying he will kill me and put my name trying to dox me. Wrong priorities and you shut down the wrong people.

    I’ve been using the app for quite a time now and it recently started to “ voice lag “ for no reason like it lags and I couldn’t hear people for some seconds and it comes back even though im on 5G and every other app works perfectly fine !!!!

    I rather speak the truth and from my experience. The people that I’ve spoken to on here felt strange. Definitely feel like scammers are lurking on this application so be aware.
