  • Too many pop-ups

I have been playing this game for a few months; I’m on level 863. My biggest complaint is that I’m BOMBARDED with pop-ups for ingame events and challenges after every level. The same popups, every. Dang. Time. I’m sick of it. It’s almost as bad as straight up advertisements. The game is also very clearly designed to make you addicted, going so far as to make levels LITERALLY unbeatable unless you spend gold bars or watch a million ads. It’s a shame, the gameplay is fun and I enjoy playing throughout the day, but the game itself feels almost like it’s working against me, trying to convince me to stay by giving me no other option.

  • This game requires you to pay for play

Don’t download if you don’t want to spend money on an iPhone game… It seems like they intentionally create some levels that are not enjoyable to play, and can’t beaten without paying money for a booster or extra moves. That way you have no choice but to pay a fee to them in order to get back to playing the enjoyable levels.
  • The game is flawed and often steals benefits from players

It is so frustrating to play a game and have things that you’ve earned just disappear whilst playing. Very irritating and makes me wonder, not for long though, if the creators do it to force players to spend money! Total trash.

This game wants money but doesn’t give you much for the dollar. Too expensive to play.

How Candy Crush Saved My Life In a world of unrelenting stress and constant demands, finding a lifeline can sometimes come from the most unexpected places. For me, that lifeline was Candy Crush, a simple mobile game that somehow became an anchor during one of the most challenging periods of my life. At first glance, it’s easy to dismiss Candy Crush as just another colorful distraction, but for me, it became a tool for mental clarity, emotional healing, and even social connection when I needed it most. Life had grown increasingly overwhelming. The pressures of work, personal responsibilities, and the inevitable curveballs of existence had created a storm of anxiety that left me drained and directionless. It was during this turbulent time that I stumbled upon Candy Crush, almost by accident, downloading it after seeing a recommendation. Initially, I didn’t expect much—just a way to pass a few minutes of downtime. However, as I delved into the puzzles, I began to realize the profound impact the game was having on my mental state. Candy Crush provided me with a structured escape from chaos. Its simple mechanics—matching candies, clearing levels, and striving for objectives—created a space where I could regain a sense of control, however small. Each level offered a clear goal, contrasting starkly with the ambiguous and overwhelming problems I faced in real life. Solving these puzzles gave me a sense of accomplishment and progress, reminding me that even small victories matter. It became my way of practicing mindfulness. The game required focus, which allowed me to momentarily set aside my worries and immerse myself in the vibrant world of candies and boosters. Emotionally, Candy Crush was more than a game; it was therapy. As I played, I noticed that my anxiety began to subside. The repetitive motions and the soothing animations worked as a form of self-soothing, much like a comforting ritual. Whenever life felt too heavy, I knew I could turn to the game for a few moments of reprieve. Its nonjudgmental nature—there were no penalties for failure, just another chance to try—mirrored a lesson I desperately needed: failure is not the end, but a step toward growth. Socially, the game also brought unexpected benefits. Candy Crush allowed me to connect with friends and family in a lighthearted way. Sending and receiving lives, competing on leaderboards, or simply sharing the frustration of a particularly difficult level became moments of bonding. These small interactions reminded me that I wasn’t alone, even when life felt isolating. The game served as a bridge to conversations and connections that might not have happened otherwise. Looking back, it’s clear that Candy Crush saved my life in ways I didn’t anticipate. It wasn’t a dramatic rescue, but rather a subtle, consistent force that kept me grounded when I felt adrift. It taught me to find joy in small achievements, to embrace patience, and to approach challenges—both in the game and in life—with a sense of resilience. Candy Crush proved that even in the most unexpected places, there is potential for healing, growth, and hope. For those who might scoff at the idea of a game being life-changing, I can only say this: sometimes, it’s not the magnitude of the act but its timing and consistency that make the difference. Candy Crush didn’t solve my problems, but it gave me the strength and clarity to face them. And for that, I will always be grateful.

Ok 30 seconds for adds was bad enough but now you have increased them up to a minute! Sorted I’m for a game to just pass the time it’s a deal breaker. But I guess that’s what happens when your bought out. Time to find another game

The new Candy Crush is ridiculously boring. What were they thinking? Time to find a new game.
