  • Riddled with ads!

Seeking Alpha, your app is infested with your own ads, always displaying an ad box, begging me to become a “Premium subscriber.” As a current subscriber of two of the investment groups who use your platform, I should not have to be subjected to your advertisements. It is really annoying to always have to be selecting the close icon (inside of your ad) in order to get rid of your advertisements. Please do me, and a lot of other people for that matter, a favor and disable those ads. I hope that you consider my request. On a sidenote, I will be happy to update and improve my rating for your app if the advertisements are removed. Thank you! *AN UPDATE to the Developer after his response: Do you honestly think that a cookie-cutter version of a response to my review here is reasonable and acceptable? Absolutely not. I gave plenty of specifics in my review above. Your ability to not take action screams how lazy you are being, and more importantly, it demonstrates your lack of care for those who use your app. That is not good customer service if you ask me. And then you wonder as to why people (and professional investing groups in your market place) are leaving your platform. Please do better!

A lot of the reviews on the App Store are complaining that you have to pay for this and pay for that. I get it, it’s frustrating having to pay to access all the features of the app. However, one must remember that quality information/services come with a cost. This isn’t to say that there isn’t quality information that is free on the internet but it’s unlikely to be in-depth analysis like you would get with paid content from any firm, organization, news outlet, etc. Think of it as an investment in a tool that will help with your investing decisions and enhance outcomes in the long run.

Excellent reports and analysis and a pleasure to use and access. I highly recommend this sight for the best information.
  • Alpha Picks shifty subscription

It was not clear that by clicking a learn more button or similar that I was going to buy a subscription that I didn't want. I was able to cancel it but that doesn't mean I got my money back. No, I had to go to Apple.com to get a refund. I like Seeking Alpha and I'm a premium member but that experience made me feel that it was an underhanded sleazy con.
  • Free version is just an ad for paid

Looks like the paid version has some good content but the free version is nothing more than a ploy to get you to get the paid version. Everything you click on has a paywall to upgrade to premium.
  • Loss of features

Too many times I see that features and functionality of the platform disappear and I am told they decided to make that feature only available for premium users.

Apps like this that constantly beg for a subscription will not be installed on my phone.
  • Good info for patient investors

If you’re a patient long term investor, getting the advice on Seeking Alpha a few days later than the analyst’s sending to his ‘paid’ subscribers, is still very worthy. If the advice is good, you can still act on it, in your own time zone.

They are an opinion biassed load of dog s. AT NEVER have they been right about anything. A stock drops 5 percent next article sell it it’s done. Next day 20 percent increase. It’s a bunch of pre pubescent kids writing opinionated articles. Trash of the trash apps
