  • Costumer service is no existent and this app takes your money and scams you.

I signed up for the 30 day free trial so I can listen to the audio book for my English class. Little did I know I wouldn’t be able to change the email that was on my account, and I cannot access the email that was on the account this means I cannot login to my account now or even cancel my free trail subscription. I’ve talked to their chat bot many times and can never get any actual help to help me cancel the subscription. I am paying for something I cannot even access. Horrible app

Edited to add: I hate the new format. I read far too much to be so limited. I am actively looking for an alternative. I’ve been a subscriber for several years, and I have been able to listen and read so much more than borrowing from my library or buying from Audible. I still borrow from my library and buy from Audible. I understand that the subscription service is changing to allow expansion of the catalog. Why can’t you leave well enough alone? Set up different tiers if you have to, but I like the service fine line it is.
  • I used to recommend Everand to everyone…

I used to recommend Everand to everyone instead of Audible. At first their plan was great. Unlimited access for only $12 per month. I paused my subscription for a few months and then decided to renew it. I was charged but the app never worked. It just kept asking me to renew my subscription even though I already did. I reached out to customer service and they told me they would escalate my issue and get back to me but they never did. Even after I followed up I never heard back. So I paid for a month of service but never got to use it. I would not recommend this service anymore.
  • More expensive and still glitching!

So frustrating- you will be listening to a book and it skips to the end! Don’t recommend.
  • Worst audiobook app ever

Recently I found that there was an update on the app that limits all the books I’ve saved. And limits me to just 20k audiobooks and ebooks. I’ve been a subscriber for YEARS and now I have to find a new app that’s not cheating me out of reading. I love reading and do it constantly I read/listened to 90 books this year. I listen to over 8 a month why am I limited to 1???!!!? Yes that’s right you get one book a month to listen/read, don’t get this app it’s a waste of money.
  • I hate the new changes

I came to this app because I heard there was unlimited listening time and unlimited options to listen to without paying for limited credits to buy books. And for months this app was just that. It was different from Spotify or Audible. But now it’s exactly like Audible and it’s upsetting. Change back to the way you guys used to be please or you guys will lose customers.
  • Double charge

I don’t understand why they didn’t automatically update everyone that had ‘legacy’ account to ‘standard’ when they made the new account structure. I guess they enjoy double charging their customers when they update their terms and conditions
  • New format complicated - haven’t been able to find a book I “qualify” for

I listen to audiobooks while I’m working a mundane job. I read books when I have free time. So I plow through the books…The previous Scribd/Everand platform is simple: when I search by title: either they have the book or they don’t. The new format says I have to pay for premium titles, but does not allow me to filter and search for non-premium titles. And quite literally EVERY book I’ve chosen is now a premium title. But, the listing says “listen now,” only to end after a chapter or two in and at that point tells me it’s not on my plan. It’s very frustrating to not have quick and easy access. So basically I’m capped at one to three books a month and I go through way more than that, which means this is no longer the right platform for me. Sadness.

Here’s the thing, I LOVED this app, it WAS better than audible and others in so many ways. The main selling point was that there were no longer credits involved. I could listen to as many books as I month as I desired. I listen to many in a given week. Now with these new plans it’s all ruined. I wish it wouldn’t have pushed me off my legacy plan but none of the books were working anymore so I was forced to switch. This is the worst update they could have made. I’m so disappointed in this team. Get rid of the credits and let us listen to our books again!
  • Great option, cheaper than audible

I really love this app. I got it around six months ago the one thing I really don’t like that they’ve changed recently. If you have to get a subscription on top of your subscription to read books that are a little different and probably better which is not OK I don’t wanna have to pay two subscriptions for one app just so I can listen to books don’t market. It’s unlimited listening And then switch it up and be like oh you need to pay this extra fee so you can unlock Books no, that’s not unlimited if it didn’t have that it would’ve got five stars.
