    Switched to their new payment plan and now all my saved books that I could read are locked. :( With my I can only unlock one book a month. So they ignore all my payments over many years and blocks the books that I already paid for. These people have only dollars in their mind. Another issue with the app it opens a book much more slowly than Kindle and Apple Books do. It appears to check my membership before opening a book. It fails open even a downloaded book if I’m not on the Internet. I’m not voracious reader. So I’m switching to Kindle Unlimited that has 4 million books available in contract to only a few thousands unblocked on Everand. Kindle Unlimited also includes magazines unlike Everand.

    Used to be my favorite app. Just use audible, this isn’t worth it. One book a month?? Or 3 if you do the premium. I used to listen to like 10 a month. And you can’t even purchase other books like audible.

    Iv been using this app for years loyally. I didn’t realize the subscription format was changing until I went to start a new book and was completely confused as to what was happening with the unlock thing. Come to find out that everend is trying to be like audible and get more money out of folks for less. Iv stayed here because of its unique unlimited plan. I’ll be canceling this month and going back to Libby. I’ll renew if the company realizes how many customers they are losing and change it back.

    I just got a new month or unlock or whatever they call it and I got “4 days” of the books I want and now I’m locked again till June!!!! I got “2 books” of the series Im listening to!! What?!?! Why not at least half a month?? But 4 days?!?!? I’m not happy at all!! Today I got a response from Everand!!! But it’s in a language I can’t read!

    Been a subscriber for years. The app said it was unlimited-then cuts you off after 2 older b audiobooks (Not bestsellers), 2 weeks before the next pay cycle. Audio playback glitches half the time but tech support never responds, just sends an email asking you to “rate the support service” THEY NEVER ACTUALLY PROVIDE. Now, I’ve been locked out for months, app says I have to “become a subscriber”, though I AM A PAID, up to date auto pay, subscriber. I want my $$ back!!

    I’ve tried to cancel my subscription multiple times now and even deleted my account but just found out they’ve been taking $12 every month. Whenever you try canceling it just sends you in a loop with no real option to opt out.

  • No offline mode, small library

    This used to be a great service when it was Scribd. As Everand, the choices are far less. Worse, the book will show in the search result but it will tell you to pay more to view. They don’t provide a way to find books that are already accessible with your current subscription. The app allows you to download the book/audiobook but you need to connect to the Internet to confirm you have the right to read/listen to it. This must be done when you start or resume your reading/listening. So this is useless when you travel or commute (train with not internet). I don’t recommend. Find a better service.

    Don’t get me wrong. I love this app. It has amazing books, but I do miss when you didn’t have to have three credits. It used to be unlimited books per month now it’s three credits for specific books which I think is very annoying.

  • Don’t Upgrade if You Have the Legacy Plan

    I wouldn’t recommend upgrading if you are a subscriber for their original subscription platform. I upgraded and 75% of the books I had unlimited access to require unlocks now. And you only get 3 a month. I’ll be canceling my subscription after this month since upgrading, despite having a subscription for several years.

  • New subscription is terrible

    This was a great app and now I can’t read anything without unlocking. Terrible change canceled my subscription very disappointed
