I love the service itself. Great value for money and very generous preview most of the time. Only bug with the app is that it will get “stuck” often and I have to force close and restart to get it to play again.
  • Really miss the unlimited model

I really miss the unlimited model. When I am out of “unlocks” the unlimited titles are not easy to find since the majority of the catalog is considered premium titles. I found Everand as an alternative to Audible and what set it apart, and ended up with me switching to only Everand, was that there wasn’t a limit but now it’s just more of the same thing.
  • Used to be the best

This app used to be incredible. It was a rotating, open catalog with great titles. Now they are all about putting titles behind "unlocks" while simultaneously shrinking their open catalog. They are moving towards an audible-like model, where your subscription includes "unlocks" instead of credits. I used to rave to everyone I knew about this service, but ow my time with it will be limited. I already have one audible subscription, I don't need a second. Thanks Everand for ruining your service because of your greed. I genuinely enjoyed my time with you.

I will change my rating when I can search for “unlimited” only tiles by genre. It is nearly impossible to find unlimited only tiles. You can sort unlimited books in very limited ways. Like you can enter an author’s name and sort unlimited books or key words but not by genre or even just random “unlimited” books. It’s very annoying trying to find the free books that are available. Update. I got two separate notifications from the App Store that a developer responded to this message but everytime I click on it it just takes me to random reviews and I can’t see any response from the developer about my review. I can see other people’s reviews and responses from the developer but not mine. I can only see my review if I were to press the “write a review “ button. Then I could edit it but still no response from the developer. What a poor experience. I’ll up my stars for the attempt.

It won’t allow you to listen to the downloaded books when you go to the download page it’s always frozen and there’s nothing you can do but hear samples . I am going to try to cancel my membership . I enjoyed one book on this app before it went south .
  • Lots of little bugs

I like this app but audible is better. This app is not as seamless. It will randomly start the book over and lose my place when I open the app to listen. Also not as mean speed settings. And it has to buffer a lot more. Those are a few little things I would love fixed and would make it 5 starts for me.
  • Changed for the worst

This app always limited the amount of books you could listen to with weird, shady reasons why. Now when you upgrade from the OG plan EVERYTHING is locked unlike before you upgraded when a lot wasn’t locked. So for $11.99 a month you get to unlock ONE book to listen to forever (so long as you keep your sub open). ONE. Why not do the popular audiobook retailer and for $15 you get to keep it? Sorry, but I’ve been with you since the beginning and I’m getting so little for my money now. I finally canceled! NOT WORTH THE MONEY!
  • Unlocks?

I have been using this app over 5 years and have loved the subscription access to unlimited content but this new tier for limited to 3 unlocks a month has me disappointed. Any book I normally would’ve had access to I now have to use via unlock. Order to upgrade, which I might as well go back to Audible. For the 5 years I paid a monthly subscription I at least would’ve owned the books I read in the past with the $$ I have invested. This will take some time getting use to. Will update after I get to experience this new structure.
  • Cancelling after years of subscribing

I’ve had a Scribd subscription for years and continued as it changed to Everland. I have the premium subscription and still have restricted and locked titles and cannot unlock my titles. But now I can’t even log into my account to cancel! Looks like this is going to be difficult and getting in touch with someone is impossible!!! Sad about this because I’ve always loved the app.
  • They lost what made them special

This used to be one of my favorite apps… What made them great was that you had unlimited access to many titles for the same price. I get that they had to start implementing a premium level, but I’ve noticed over the last couple weeks titles that were included at the so-called standard level are all now being locked behind that extra paywall. To me this is completely out of integrity and I might as well go to Audible because it’s actually a better app for the same price.
