  • Far too many ads

    I used to play this version of solitaire a lot because I like the look of the cards more than other mobile solitaire games. That’s why this is 2 stars instead of just 1. However, since the game was updated, the ads have become far too intrusive. It used to be only an ad between games, the standard type where they advertise mobile games that take like 30 seconds to click away from. Which okay I understand they need to make money, but now they have an animated ad bar on top of the game. Extremely distracting if you’re trying to play this game to relax. The only option for removing the ads is a SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE. $1/week or $10 a year to remove the ads. Absolutely absurd that we can’t just pay once to remove the ads for good.

    I have played this app for YEARS. It’s great. Lately they got on the bandwagon with these stupid challenges I don’t even care about and now the game play is TERRIBLE and IMPOSSIBLE. I don’t give a flip about backgrounds or card designs. I used to have a decent win percentage and now it’s probably 10%. I’ve replayed games trying to do things differently and nothing works. They’re not winnable deals.

    This app is a complete joke. Every time you complete a game, it brings up an advertisement many times of which you cannot get out of. This is happened more frequently in the past six months. The people who run this app need to review their ads to see why, the ads won’t let you out of it.

    Why ruin what used to be perfect because someone needed to justify their job?!? Every stupid design change ruins a simply perfect thing. It keeps getting worse by the day. No longer plays in landscape mode. And now this ridiculous “shuffling, hiding aces” takes forever between games, leave useless 1/4 screen banners up, etc. They broke what was fine and keep on breaking it. No thanks

    I love the fact that I can personalize the background AND the cards. I was using another app until I found this one and deleted the other one I was using for years. This one is the best! EDIT The ads have recently become so long it’s not even playable. It stays on the ads wanting me to download whatever it is (often another game) and I can’t get back to Solitaire. No way to X out. It is frustrating and I have pretty much quit playing it. I understand the needs for makers to sell ad space but this is ridiculous. I tried to get a new hand today but it stuck on an ad and I could not X out in any way so I could not play it. So, I removed 2 stars. Hoping the creators will reconsider these extraordinarily long advertisements you cannot X out of in a reasonable time.

    I love solitaire. I just switched from and android to an Iphone and was looking for a fun solitaire game like I had on my Galaxy. None of them had ads on my galaxy phone. I could sit and play with no interruptions Ive tried 4 different solitaire games on my new Iphone and am so frustrated, annoyed and disappointed. After the first game on every single one of them, it said it needed an update. After all the updates it shows ads after every game and you cannot back out of them. On all of the solitaire app Ive tried. There is no way to go back so you just have to sit and wait for what seems like several minutes before continuing. I realize you need ads but I should be able to choose whether I want to see it or not. Even on a television I can change the channel during commercial ads. Apple needs to offer the same option.

    i loved playing this game, it has a few short advertisements, no problem, then there were advertisements after each game and before all replays. ok, the author has to make something for his efforts, now there is a minute plus advertisement after each game and before each replay, the game is unusable, pity cause it was a good game, now i’m searching for a replacement
