    I tried the free trial and canceled on time, yet I was still charged the full price of the subscription. There’s no customer support or any way that I can see to request a refund. They make it all impossible to do. Terrible experience

    Dangerous application -this OS application is for genealogy research, as it states. What My Heritage doesn’t state is the application will continue to charge for any research-even if you have opted out. For many a nearby $300 USD annual fee isn’t too much. That is if you approved, known, or agreed to this contract. We did not ever approve, cancelled when first billed, same as second, third billing! Nightmare application! Ouch! They took another year!

    the DNA makes no sense and it doesn’t add up add all there is some DNA in my results that none of my family came from i have less italian in me when i knew for a fact i more italian than anything my grandpa on my dad side is full blooded Italian and my grandma on that side is half italian because her dad was full blooded

    I have used this app for awhile now but when I add relatives they are not syncing and are off floating on their own as if not connected to anyone. I delete and readd and they are constantly bugging and glitching. I’m gonna try to fix it on my computer because it’s not worth the effort to constantly resubmit family members and facts to have them disconnect or disappear altogether from the tree.

    I’m having a great experience with Myheritage. The DNA test shows multiple ancestries that are connected to my homeland and detects the specific region we’re I’m from. They recently introduced a new tool that allows the user to explore their Ancient Origins. The Ancient Origins tool is available in the Myheritage website to anyone with a subscription. Very good value!

    I’ve been working on an pretty extensive genealogy plus I’ve gotten my dna done by ancestry and 23andme. I know these are just ethnicities and every company has its own algorithm but I have a pretty decent idea of my ethnic background. I know that I’ve got a decent chunk of English, Irish with some Welsh, Scandinavian, Scottish, with some German. My Heritage says I’m almost 70% Scandinavian 25% Welsh,Irish, Scottish and about 6% Italian No English!!!!!! . I’ve heard MyHeritage ethnicity was off but this is really off. I thought it would give me a ridiculously higher amount of English or something but they gave me none. I also heard My Heritage was great for people who are in Europe and are Jewish I assumed because I’m of European ancestry my Great grandmother was born in England it would be helpful… NOPE. Their Ethnicity is a joke and the Matches are joke too. Because the ethnicity is a joke and their matches are weak the tools are kinda useless.The genealogy YouTubers who recommend my heritage must be getting some kick back or something. Plus from what I understand My Heritage are not that big with updating their results. The app itself is ok. While you should understand dna result are just estimates no matter what company you used I would highly be suspect of your results from this company. Do your tree research your results should make sense with your tree NOT what necessarily on what your grandma says. Edit Oct 8: A few days ago I wasn’t allowed to see my DNA results cause I got this “we are updating your DNA results” to check back tomorrow I thought great maybe they’ll fix my DNA results but when I saw them nothing changed. I got the same banner yesterday and it’s still there today. From an internet search this is a big issue a lot of people are having for the last month or so. What heck is going on? Edit: July 17 2024 My heritage at rootstech Said they were going to update their DNA estimates ( Mr Horowitz) stated their dna ethnicities weren’t that good and that in late June they were going to update them. Needles to say that has not happened for most people. And those few who did get the update a lot of them where really wrong, like African Americans getting 98% African and 2% Portuguese. A lot of people including myself are angry all we have since around June 28 is a banner saying Coming soon New improved ethnicities coming soon. New Edit March 3 2025 they finally updated my results a few weeks ago. MUCH better. I will now remind My Heritage!!! Plus Ancient Origins is a great touch.👍👍

  • LOVE, But the bugs need fixed

    I love this to be able to find out my past research my family and where they came from, but I CONSTANTLY get a pop-up that says the site thinks I’m a robot, and when I go to verify that I’m not, it doesn’t even go through. I’ve contacted support and they say they can’t do anything (which is super bothersome). Honestly, if it never gets fixed, it will just be a regret to have even gotten anything from them, and I’ll switch to ancestry. I just wish it could be fixed.

    I paid for a DNA test, and it has been over three months with no results. There’s no way to contact them—no phone number, no email, nothing. This is a complete scam. Don’t waste your money on it.
