    For the most part, I like the app - I mostly read the paper on my phone. I like the view that mimics the paper edition. But in the past month or so, when I change focus on my phone the app reverts to some generic view and it’s a PITA to have to keep back and changing the view.

    After 40 years of getting thee paper and having an online subscription for years, I decided to cancel after I found out I was being charged $195/yr and there was an offer of $95. Before I cancelled, I spoke to a sales rep who told me that my subscription was going up to $265.00! I would have kept my subscription if someone would have been willing to work with me on a new subscription,but they didn’t care. Sad!

    The app constantly “forgets” that I have a subscription. Does anyone at the Strib monitor the comments to see how frustrating it is for subscribers.

    I find that you are an extension of the New York Times and Washington Post for national news. I don’t see why you cant either figure out or another source or do a better job of editing the stories. The bias is in and even your powers to be cannot deny that. So balance it and find a way to submit both sides.

    Every time I leave the replica edition and come back to it, it disappears and I can’t get it back without going back to the emailed link. I talked to their tech support, didn’t help.

    For the most part I like the app. I would like you to bring back the daily local pro sports schedule. It is also annoying that the comment section isn’t available anymore.

  • Dysfunctional App

    No local weather reporting, none, not even during a snow storm. Not even the current temperature. No way to go to specific teams or specific sports, there’s only a generic sports section and the current articles they happen to have posted. Can’t check box scores or standings to the games, teams or leagues you want. Search function literally just pulls up random articles that have nothing to do with what you entered. Sometimes, despite being logged into my subscription on the app, the linked article will require me to sign in again. Why? Embedded videos often fail to play. Reader comments are completely missing. You can keep scrolling and the same articles keep appearing in the feed, over and over. This is all very unfortunate because the StarTribune is a good paper and I want to support good, independent local journalism.
