  • Accidentally swiping while forming invoice to email to client discards all your work without saving

    Two stars because every time I go to send an email and hit the button “send” it does not save it. When I’m in the email sending portion of sending the invoice, if you move your finger (on the iOS app) the wrong way while touching the screen, it thinks you are discarding the email. So, all the work you put into making the invoice and details is completed tossed out. It doesn’t save it because you didn’t send the email. I know this is going to happen to me, I’m conscious of it and I still don’t know what button or combo of button swipes triggers it. It’s so absolutely frustrating and causes me to double and sometimes triple re-do the process. The problem is, if I choose to save it, to get right back to it, I have to know what invoice it was because I have to form these invoices well in advance so there’s no “sort by date” function for me to retrieve it. So I have to know what the invoice number is. I’ve had so much trouble with this, I simple never use the send button unless I’ve actually already hit “save” vs “send” to save the invoice. And I jot down the invoice number so I can quickly go back to it. So funny it asked me to review when this issue happened to me once again because I chose to throw caution in the wind and not save it before trying to save it. And now I’ve wasted more of my valuable business time to write this review and I still have to send that invoice.
  • App Doesnt Work and Still getting charged

    I couldnt connect my bank account, and xero support was useless (just keep trying they said for weeks). They are still charging me even though I cancelled my account and havemt used it once. Choose a different option!!
  • Greedy price increases every year

    Their product is ok, not as good as QBO. Their price used to be the selling point. but now after raising prices every year, they no longer have any selling point. Planning to move over to QBO, And I’m telling all my friends on social media to do the same.
  • Cannot read/edit Invoices

    It has been months since the ability to read or edit auto-sales tax invoices on the app has been removed. I used to be able to do many things on the app on the go that I can do anymore. I HAVE to find a computer to do edits. It was pretty much the only reason I used the app. I can’t remember the last time I actually used the app properly only to remember I can’t make edits anymore.

    Xero is a pretty basic accounting software program, with easy enough to use features. My accountant likes it. But I am absolutely done with this company. They have absolutely no respect for their customers and continue to raise rates at an absurd rate. Since I started using them in July 2022, they have raised their prices 3 times (October 2022, October 2023, and will be again in July 2024), totaling an increase of $34/month in just two years for my specific plan. That’s $408 extra per year. But don’t worry, their stock is thriving. Goodbye greedy fools. Quickbooks and MYOB is looking real good right about now.

    I cannot stress enough how annoying this app is. I don’t work at the fuxking pentagon. I don’t need 5 layers or security to upload a taxi receipt. They do stop shy of asking for your social security and making you do 50 burpees so that’s good.
  • Buyer beware

    While I have been with Xero for 10 years yiu should be warned that price increases are fairly constant. A few times a year. Example: they sponsored a football team and raised prices to cover it. It’s pretty gross. They add features and make all pay for it when most don’t need it. Just google it. It’s bad. If I had to start over I would choose another platform but I’m stuck.
  • Don’t download if you are iPad user

    Downloaded almost all Xero apps on my iPad Pro, most of them don’t even have iPad version, and this specific app does have iPad version, however, there is no accounting options, you can’t even connect your bank on the dashboard page. Their expense on UI design is very concerning, I guess stay with big names like QuickBooks
  • HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

    I’ve had sever cases open with Xero for features they advertise like statement syncing and auto tax. These features aren’t working in my installation and they haven’t worked for over a year. Xero support reps reply with the most boilerplate answers I’ve ever seen. It’s infuriating. An AI chat bot could provide better answers. “Thanks for your patience while we look into this! We still have zero ETA but thanks!” It’s been a year… Seriously Xero staff if you read this. Fire your support manager and start over. I’ll never recommend this software again after these experiences with your support team.

    This app is really good. Pretty, pleasant to use, clearly made with love and care for iOS rather than being cobbled together from some cross-platform framework. And it’s been getting even better over time!
