Running Sonoma 14.4.1. Really should give it a '1' star. I do enjoy the 'white noise' for work & the 'rain' for sleep, however, if I let app run for 12 to 24 hrs, the 'Memory' can use 12 gigs, and the 'CPU' can jump around to using between (1.5 to 50 ) percent of CPU. This causes my Mac Mini 2018 to get very hot and slow, and even shut down because of the heat. If I shut it down & restart app every few hrs, it is fine. BEWARE!!!
  • Beware: Lite version opens a browser window to a scam

The app is fine, but the lite version just opnened a browser window to a fake Norton Antivirus message telling me my subscription had run out. I expect ads with lite versions, but not scams; find another app.

Awesome app! The box fan sounds so realistic!
  • Uses way too much memory and needs a refresh

I love the concept and the marketplace. I use this every night. But after leaving this app open for a few days it takes a whopping 14GB of my system memory. For what? It plays a looping audio file. The UI also could use a refresh. The side bar scrolls horizontally (bug) and I wish the arrow keys worked to change your selection. Your library isn't sorted in any logical manner so if you have a lot of white noise you have to hunt for the one you want.

My fan broke, removing my blanket of noise that allowed me to sleep through all manner of odd noises at odd hours. This app has replaced it - and since there are so many sounds, you are bound to find a number of them you like (12 on my list). It's free to boot, so there's no risk in trying it out.

I just got this app, and I am incredibly impressed at the capability. We always use a noise machine for our young son while he sleeps, and on travel we didn't have one. I needed something quick and stumbled upon this app. The pre-made sounds are perfect! The mix ability looks incredible (although I don't think I need to partake in it). Top notch development and highly recommended. Can't wait to try this out tonight!

I’m used to a white noise machine in my bedroom at home, and I do not sleep well. So, when I planned a trip overseas with my wife, I looked for an application that I could use on my MacBook Pro to help me sleep during the flight. This one is not only free, it’s perfect for me. With a multitude of sound selections, including the white/pink/brown background that I’m used to, I don’t see how you can do much better. I had read on one revue that the app utilizes the high-power usage graphics, and I confirmed that it does. So I set up my MacBook to play into my Klipsch earbuds with the screen shut off (black) as a test. It used 5% of the battery capacity in one hour (and, BTW it put me to sleep), so no problem for my 8-hour flight. Great app!
