  • Favorite Podcast App

After the Google podcast app retired, I transitioned to Pocket Casts. Wish I did it sooner. Love the interface. Not sure if there’s an easy way to have a particular podcast jump to the front of the Up Next list. I have my own personal up next list, but when the kids are in the car they like listen to back to back short episodes of children’s podcasts. This involves many sweeps to make a bunch of these short, children’s podcasts, go to the top of the Up Next list
  • Good but used to have better search

I like this app but I used to be able to search within my list of podcasts. Now when I try it just searches ALL podcasts. Please return this “easy to search within my podcasts” feature! I have dozens or hundreds of favorites podcasts and when I want to just go to one I have to scroll through ALL of it.
  • Folders for indiv. Episodes!

The top thing I wish I could do is to sort individual episodes into folders. That is the feature I *thought* was included in the pro version of the app which is why I upgraded, but now I realize that we can only put whole shows into folders. That’s still a nice feature, but folders for individual episodes would be AMAZING. I use this app extensively for learning purposes, so collecting episodes into folders (or even searchable hashtags) would increase the usefulness of the app tremendously. For similar reasons, I would also love to be able to search my starred episodes.
  • Loses data

After carefully curating your “up next” queue, this app just forgets your curation work & deletes podcasts from the queue. All that work down the drain. Used this app for years and even subscribed, but I’m now looking for a replacement. Update: Thanks for the response. I was already aware of the “restore up next” option. It was not useful. I still lost my queue and didn’t have time for a constant, back & forth search/restore process. I finally gave up. Sad, but constant frustration won here.
  • I use it every day, suggestions

I love Pocket Casts and use it nearly every day. The things I’d like to see the most are: 1. A slider for adjusting the playback speed, so I don’t have to tap my fingers to the bone (I adjust the speed quite often), and screen-tap RSI is a real thing. 2. An indication of the playback speed on the main player control page, so I don’t have to open the speed control panel just to know the speed. 3. A recent update increased inordinately the amount of auto rewind after pausing. It was perfect before.

  • The childish release notes are back

Sorry, guys, but I had to drop my review from 4 stars to 1 star. It’s time to grow up and focus your energy on your product. Teenage extension school creative writing projects like your release notes reflect poorly upon your product. You obviously have enough resources to hire a high school sophomore to write your release notes. How about you focus on improving the product itself. That would be a start.
  • Great but still some kinks

This app is great for my podcasts. It works really well. EXCEPT for one thing that drives me nuts. It keeps on skipping. Even after the update where they said they fixed it. Please fix this problem!
  • Just lousy

Pocket Casts has gone downhill since it was bought by some company. All of my listened-to episodes recently got reset after a recent PocketCasts update. Time to bail. It USED-TO be a pretty good app.
  • Apple need to buy this podcast app

By far the best podcast app out there. The features, the UI/UX, it does it all very well! One suggestion: on the Apple Watch app - please make it easier to go back to the now playing screen with 1 tap! At the moment I have to click through 4 screens to get back to it.
