Cannot keep up with their bugs but still adding new features. Their support is useless. I wouldn’t recommend giving them money.
  • Best Podcast App. Period.

I’ve been a avid podcast listener since 2005 and a user for Pocket Casts since 2015. I’ve tried and attempted to switch to many apps throughout the years from Apple Podcast to google Podcast (during a brief Android period, Stitcher, Overcast and many more than I can remember. What made me stick to Pocket Casts is the amount of control it gives you to your Up Next playlist in terms of specifying which podcasts you don’t want to miss any episode from, and which you only care to hear the last couple of episodes. Overall well rounded experience and App, I’m glad to be one of the early paying customers and how designated as a Pocket Casts Champion.

Recreation steps: 1. Play a podcast on iPhone app 2. Select … and tap Chromecast 3. Select device to cast to -> « Cast-to » device beeps and podcast stops playing. App hangs.
  • Gets more glitchy every year

Player has always been glitchy. I am particularly annoyed by one where you need to press play several times before it actually plays. It also will skip around at random. But now its playing a few seconds or a minute maybe and then it just stops and loads forever. Quitting the app, etc, nothing helps.

Switching from apple podcast to the this app. Apple has become clunky and bloated. Was prepared to start over when pocket casts asked me if I wanted to download a shortcut to import my subscriptions from Apple? YES PLEASE!!!!!!

I have been a Pocket Casts user since 2015 and this application continues to be the most reliable, user friendly, and intuitive podcast listening platform. I am always impressed with the level of craft and detail with which the team continues to build the application. This is the world’s best podcast player and a must download for anyone who is serious about podcast listening.

  • Awesome app; small tweaks would make it 5 stars

Context: I’ve only ever used Apple Podcasts and Spotify to stream podcasts. Awesome customization options (speed, auto trimming, filters). Easy to use. You can view data (hour listened, hours saved skipping), if that floats your boat. Suggested tweaks: • Be able to view podcast seasons by season (this is especially useful when update episodes are added way after the fact) rather than as an endless cluttered scroll • Be able to link subscriptions (here’s looking at you NYT) • Have fewer steps to mark an episode as played while playing (Also, is there a difference between ‘mark as played’ and ‘archive’? If not, why the change in language?)

Exactly what you need and none of what you don’t in a podcast app.
  • Already a fail

The whole dialog about importing from another app and/or having to email it to yourself is wrong. Trying to import from overcast which is really bad now and these instructions are just plain wrong. Not a great way to get somebody to sign up for a paid subscription. How about an option just to add your opml file which have stored locally on the phone?
