    Made a review and Airbnb canceled it for no reason claiming that it was likely fraud. I told him that I needed the stay ASAP because my family was flying in and my other reservation didn’t end up working out therefore I needed something last minute. They said that I have to get a hotel and that I can’t book for another 10 days. Extremely helpful thanks so much.

    without explanation they won't let me book a place to stay, saying that I want to organize a party! and they don't explain it in any way! We are traveling with children aged 13-14, but the app considers them adults and they still think that I want to organize an unauthorized party!!
  • Airbnb won’t let me book anywhere

    This NYE me and my family wanted to spend time somewhere else and bring in the new year together. Upon trying to book they put an unauthorized hold on my account as well as my family Members for other properties because they suspected an unauthorized party. We contacted the hosts and they all said it was fine especially since we expressed that there was no party happing but ultimately it was us to Airbnb. We called support and they all said the same thing “they were going to escalate and look into this issue” but I never received another call or anything, within a couple of hours I had an email saying “we’re upholding our request on our recent decision”. This was my first time using Airbnb and I was later told by others, if there is a major event happing in that city or a holiday, they do this to everyone. I will not be using again in the future.

    Someone invited me to an Airbnb and I received an email to set up my account. I attempted to do so and submitted my photo ID. I then received an emailed saying my account was deactivated and I would not be able to use Airbnb because of my background check. I could appeal it but why would I even do business with a company like this?? If you found that information then clearly you can find out what I do now vs 7 years ago.
  • Terrible Customer Service and Handling of Issues

    A person with no relation to me listed my home I own and live in as an AirBnb. Because of this I got sent a citation from the city and faced accruing fines until I could confirm the listing was down. I opened communications with both the city and Airbnb but found no help from the latter. They simply washed their hands and said I should reach out to whoever had listed my home via the app. Problem is the listing did not appear no matter how hard I searched. I asked them to provide written confirmation that the listing was offline, if that was the case, but they refused to do even in that, leaving me with no answer or actionable next steps on how to possibly solve my issue. The negligence on their side was astounding. Terrible way of operating. Will def stay away in the future.

    Book a hotel instead. You stain a small towel with a super small stain and they’ll charge you &300.00! Should have stayed at a hotel literally same prices after getting charged $300.00 extra. Worse thing it was for a ghetto studio!
  • The most crooked platform, and the most crooked hosts

    After going back and fourth with Airbnb because a host asked for more money outside of Airbnb, which is against their policy, they sided with the host, in spite of their own policy for hosts, and refused to give me my money (over $700!!) back. Just use something else. This platform is trash, and gives zero concern for their CUSTOMERS.

    I was a super host for 3 years and got my account compromised and lost access to it and still nearly a year later haven’t gotten it back. Too long of a story to post on here but in very upset I can’t get into my account and nobody seems to be able to help me even delete it. After having an employee change my email and number to find out they can’t do that. Yeah there’s more to the story it’s crazy how low their security is.

    If I could give zero stars I would .. I paid them 1400$ my first time using trying to pay for a place to live .. they took my money and deactivated my account saying I was a party wrist.. I’ve never had a party in my life. They told me they had a “technical difficulty” and couldn’t transfer me to a supervisor . That was all my money and now I’m on the street for up to ten days waiting for a refund.. they are thieves use at your own risk. Customer service deserves less than one star

    I tried getting a small cabin for me and my family and it would say that I was high risk for whatever and I guess that is something that Airbnb can’t change so if you’re a young person in your 20s don’t get this app get Vrbo because they will actually let you rent a cabin:)
