    Don’t make an account on this app or buy a subscription, they make it purposefully difficult to cancel the subscription and delete your account. Don’t get this app

  • A lot of pros, but a lot of cons.

    Don’t get me wrong Chegg has helped me through a bunch of my classes in college. However, it takes the same amount of work that you would’ve done to do just do the question on the assignment than it does to get the matching answer. The translation from your photo to the app is ridiculous and needs to be better. It is definitely very frustrating when you are paying for this subscription to help you get through college and it takes a lot of research within itself for this app to assist you with your assignments.

    While Chegg itself is a great resource for academic assistance with higher education, etc., its iOS application is a mess. Recent changes have caused me to be unable to upload questions to their “expert tutors,” nor am I able to access most of the basic functions I used to be able to see. I’m not a fan of the restructuring of their platform on the desktop site or through the mobile application.

    This app used to be reliable but ever since the last update the picture to text has been nothing but a failure and suddenly can not capture any of the text even though it is visible in the picture

    Never loads. Won’t let me crop photos of questions 90% of the time. Every few times I type a question it makes each letter I press appear 3 times. Now it won’t even show me the answer to any questions in the archive. Not a single one. Questions are wrong half the time when you send it to an expert. Overall great concept of an app but horrible execution. Had to have been developed and run by barn animals.

    The app crashes or freezes often, my questions haven’t been saved for months, and many times I try to view an answered question it just says “question answered” but doesn’t actually show anything. The app is very frustrating to use and is absolutely in an unacceptable state for how much they charge for it.

    With all the other options available, choose one of those! Seeing what you get for the price, it isn’t worth it! You get 20 questions per month (supposedly) if you use all of them, you can’t get more, until the next month. You will loose any questions that you don’t use, I know, it’s stupid. If you do use your questions 1 day before your auto-renewal, (supposedly, you are to get a fresh 20 questions) on the renewal date, but you won’t! Customer support? What customer support! Their so called experts will use the oh so typical cut and paste method, even though the question submitted is probably different from what you upload.. and the list goes on, and on, and on…. Lol what a joke!!!
