  • Bots are killing the game

I wish the devs would actually listen to the player base we have such a big issue with these third party softwares and players abusing it to make bots to farm gold. And sell to players the removed the only good item(hitting cards) in the game which logged accounts out. If they answered the pin incorrectly(any human can answer it properly) now the game is overrun with millions of bots. In battle field in training maps in farm maps. There’s barely any newer players it’s so disheartening the game is dying
  • Lots of bots and dead servers

Played this game a while back and had a lot of fun…now, the game seems a lot different with lots of dead servers and bots making it difficult to level up and enjoy the game.

I loved this game and have played on an off for years since middle school. I was excited the first time I earned money and was able to support the developers but… The game has likely been dying for a long time now. If it wasn’t full of gold farming bots to the point its unplayable the game could have had a chance. Its been in this condition for years nothings been done about it. I don’t know why they removed the bot reporting feature there used to be. Taking a stroll through a few servers I only saw bots and no players. The game is grindy to the extreme but it had a certain charm to it. As it is its unplayable. Below is my original review: I have nostalgic playing this game so it is fun to walk around in occasionally but the grinding gets monotonous and excessive around level 20. If you are okay with just enjoying a game and leaving it unfinished then this is a great game.
  • Proposal for new game similar to original concept

    1
    By XxUrDoneKidxX
I been playing this game since early 2011. The original concept of every element of the game was so appealing. The IMO based game is the best type of game, with Realm vs Realm styled open worlds. The PVE is amazing. The real time PVP is the best type of combat amongst players. Guilds within the factions are the great way to build community. I have loved this game for a long time and I just wish this game could be restored to its original concepts that attracted everyone to it and I know that can’t happen so I am proposing for the developers to create a new game similar to The World of Magic:IMO but be different with different monsters, npcs, and maps but have the same elements and style to it. Com2uS should consider creating a new game identical to The World of Magic: IMO for several reasons, primarily revolving around the preservation of the original charm and appeal of the game, the problems stemming from an unstable in-game ecosystem, and the changes over time that have distanced the game from its roots. Here’s a detailed explanation: 1. Loss of Player Base Due to Bots and Macro Use One of the most critical issues The World of Magic faces is the increasing presence of bots and macro users. These automated programs have severely disrupted both the game’s economy and the experience of legitimate players. The influx of bots has led to: •Economy Imbalance: Bots dominate farming areas, monopolizing resources and devaluing in-game currency, which ruins the natural flow of a player-driven economy. Legitimate players find it difficult to compete with bot-generated wealth, leading to frustrations and discouragement. •PvP and Player Interaction: Macro users in PvP are another key issue, making faction wars and competitive gameplay less enjoyable. The integrity of the competitive aspect has deteriorated, causing skilled players to leave the game due to an unfair playing field. •Loss of Community Feel: One of the core appeals of The World of Magic was its social aspect. Bots, being automated and often spammy, dilute the community experience. As these problems have persisted for years, the player base has dwindled, with many veterans abandoning the game due to these issues. Com2uS could resolve these problems by launching a new version of the game with better anti-cheat mechanisms, ensuring a fair and engaging experience for everyone. 2. The Game No Longer Resembles Its Original Appeal Over time, The World of Magic has undergone several updates that, while well-intentioned, have altered the game in ways that alienated its original player base. For many players, the charm of The World of Magic came from its simplicity and nostalgic appeal. Key aspects of the original game that players miss include: •Graphics and Visuals: The original 2D sprite-based graphics were simple, yet iconic. However, with recent updates, some visual aspects have been altered in ways that detract from the game’s retro charm. Long-time players no longer feel connected to the game’s original aesthetic, and newer players are less drawn to the “modernized” version. •Gameplay Mechanics: Updates introduced new systems and features that shifted the balance of the game. While this is common for long-running MMOs, many players feel that the core mechanics of the game were compromised in the process. For example, the introduction of pay-to-win elements, newer class balancing decisions, or simplification of gameplay mechanics have made the game feel disconnected from the original experience. Com2uS could attract both veteran and new players by creating a new game that recaptures the visual and mechanical elements of the original The World of Magic. A return to the roots, with slight improvements, would reignite the passion that many players had for the game. 3. Restoring the Original Player Experience One of the core reasons for creating an identical version of The World of Magic is to provide a fresh start for players who miss the original game’s atmosphere. A reboot or remake with the following considerations could restore and expand the player base: •Community-Centered Development: By actively listening to players and respecting the desires of the original player base, Com2uS can develop a new game that retains the social, competitive, and economic systems that made the original successful. Open communication and feedback could lead to a more loyal player base. •New and Improved Anti-Cheat Systems: A fresh start would allow Com2uS to build in improved protections against the botting and macro issues that have plagued the current version. Stronger enforcement against cheats would improve the fairness of PvP, the integrity of the economy, and overall player satisfaction. •Consistent Updates that Honor the Original: Instead of introducing features that dramatically shift the game’s focus, Com2uS could adopt a strategy of smaller, more consistent updates that retain the essence of the original. These updates could focus on expanding content (new regions, dungeons, events) without changing the core gameplay mechanics that players love. 4. The Success of Classic Versions of Games In recent years, many game developers have found success by re-releasing or remastering older games with modern improvements while preserving their core identity. World of Warcraft Classic and Runescape Old School are prime examples of this strategy working effectively: •World of Warcraft Classic: Blizzard released WoW Classic in response to player demand for the original version of the game, without the major changes introduced in later expansions. The result was a massive surge of players, with both veterans and new players enjoying a more authentic experience. •Old School Runescape (OSRS): Jagex re-released the 2007 version of Runescape, catering to fans of the simpler, more challenging gameplay. OSRS quickly grew in popularity and, in some instances, surpassed the modern version of Runescape in player count. Com2Us the same opportunity

I registered my device to the "security manager" but it won't allow me to log in anymore. Mind you, it's been a couple of months and I had re installed the device too. That might be why it doesn't recognize my device. But if that's the case, then the security manager is useless and will promptly and happily kick out anyone. I just want my account back after spending time on it. I sent in a ticket but haven't gotten a reply back yet. I even know my emergency pin, but it's uselsss since I can't even log in. I don't want to start from scratch again... please fix this problem com2us. Updated review: the game has changed so much and not in a good way! The new UI is horrible to navigate. It feels like all the good parts of the game are now dead and gone, just like the playerbase.
  • FIX Warriors COOLDOWN

Fear is a issue. Warriors can use shout and have to die 20times just to be able to resist fear just to use it once and die 20more times to repeat. Please make the cd shorter. GIVE Warriors a rage bar. Take away our mana bar. The more we attack and take damage should boost the bar and give us bonus damage and or resistance. Makes more sense. We do not use mana theres no reason or purpose behind us having mana. Every other class uses mana and have a purpose behind it. Since warriors being the only class that uses crystals we should have something else to benefit them like other classes.
  • Pay to win

Com2us has made changes to the game but they have now made it 500% more pay to win. Enchant system is garbage and only ppl who spend thousands have chances at succeeding in any enchant past 7 for weapons and 5 for armor. No wonder most of the servers are dead.
  • Was a much better game back in 2012, now it’s all bots that keep you from progressing.

Picked this game back up after years of not playing, started a new character on a new server… good luck ever progressing because the developers do not care to ban bots that will camp in a spawn area for the mob you need to kill to progress, and they will just insta kill every mob that spawns. I had to kill 10 or 20 boar for a quest and it genuinely took my a full hour because I had to try and BEAT the bots to the mobs they were one shot killing them. It’s clearly just used to rack up experience and coins. I just can’t stand it. No point in giving this game anything above two stars until they fix it.
