I played Doom on the PC back in the day and enjoyed every second spent in it. I recently dl’d Doom Eternal on my PC and tried to play it…..there was No manual and any search for one was met with negative results. I finally deleted the game. I loaded Doom for iPhone and started playing it. For a PC game ported to iPhone, it works very well and it was familiar. For the price, I highly recommend it!

I like your port, but it would be really cool if Quake is available on mobile devices.

I love Doom. I really want to play this, but can’t enjoy it because the controls are awful.

I would think that the most popular game of all time would have decent controls. You can’t edit anything or move or resize any of the 4 controls on the screen. If tencent can make pubg with 30 different items on the screen and they are all resizable and movable then this should not be a problem. Figure it out!
  • Great Port, Not-So-Great Controls

The title pretty much sums it up, but I’ll go into a bit of detail anyway. The port itself is very good and a nice piece of nostalgia for anyone who was around to play the original release on DOS. If you have a Bethesda account, you can download a [rather limited] selection of add-ons, from TNT Evilution and The Plutonia Experiment to SIGIL and No Rest for the Living, to keep you entertained after you finish the main game. The only thing that takes away that fifth star is the controls; the buttons you use to fire your weapon and interact with your surroundings are small and difficult to press consistently while you’re focused on the game. Even the thumbstick is somewhat mediocre—the THUMBSTICK, for crying out loud. To walk, you have to move the thumbstick only a bit, because if you move it more than halfway forward, you switch into a full-on sprint, and not everyone likes to move faster than they can say “What in the devils!?” All in all, the port is great, just fix the lackluster controls and you’ll have a perfect five stars.
