  • Just bad…. And I use TAPAS

So for reference I use tapas and have spent probably anywhere from a minimum of $100 a year on the app up to $500-600 a year on it. These guys are charger close to double the price as tapas. Per chapter tapas is close to 0.28 that’s with the highest ink buy. But it’s not with a bull chapter buy. That said on this app their “new member deal” is their Best Buy for points and it’s Very limited so you’re only getting a couple chapter out of it. They don’t have a good bulk points buys. But with their special deal and using their bulk chapter buy their cost per chapter is still $0.48. Aka expect to pay roughly $2 per actual chapter of manga with that said I’ll see you boys some where on the seven seas. 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️
  • Good translations and Manga offerings, but major issues inhibit access

I do appreciate having access to the series offered on the app and the translations are good, but I have a few major problems: 1. Why oh why are chapters divided in half??? This makes no sense other than being a predatory money tactic 2. Why do tickets expire? People have lives and families and may only have certain times when they can read, and yet they are penalized as such 3. Having different series cost different amounts of points for half a chapter is incredibly inconsistent 4. The lack of a web-browser option for mature series that are horribly censored with big black boxes is incredibly annoying 5. The pricing of points in the app would render many series more expensive to read than literally buying it in print which is bonkers considering the digital version lacks costs like paper, printing, shipping, etc

When are you going to make it a monthly payment on plan?
  • Inconsistent and needs changes

When first going into this app, I thought it would be like the other manga service I use, Manga+. However, it is so much worse and incredibly confusing. There is an inconsistent amount of free chapters, paid chapters, and chapters that need tickets. I believe that the set of chapters in the first volume of a series should be free, the last three chapters should be free, and everything in the middle should cost tickets. On a reread, those chapters that costed tickets will now cost points/money. Also, I believe that the white border around a page should be changed to black, as sometimes, panels can blend into the border and it looks so off. The only reason why I gave this a one star is because some of the manga on the app are fire
  • Make free chapters downloadable

App would be infinitely better if you could download all content offline. I’d even pay more for this. Absurd that you can only download chapters you pay for, but can’t on free content. Makes no sense.

This app has a payment model that a casino would consider predatory. They charge a dollar to read a single new chapter, but don’t worry, by reading a random promotional chapter, you can earn back 5 whole cents. For $3/month, you can get the entire Shonen Jump app with downloadable chapters, and a far better UI. On Manga Plus, you can read all new chapters for free. On K Manga, you can pay for a corporate exec to spit in your eye.
  • Annoying

Every time I finish reading a chapter a pop up comes up for another unrelated manga it’s terrible 😭
  • Just why!?

Why can’t you just be normal and have a cheap sub with the option to buy volumes?
  • Awful point system

Interface is good and smooth the main problem is you don’t know why some series require all points to read and some don’t it’s confusing. It would be better to have a subscription system monthly I want to read the series but I can’t support the way it’s handled a revision would make this app pretty popular and successful.
  • Out of touch

Exploitative and video game-y at every level. The newer the chapter the more expensive, app tracking, ads to earn chapters, only certain chapters being eligible for the free tickets. In every single way and at every step it disregards what the customer would want. All while their more popular competitor charges a low monthly fee for everything they publish. Genuinely offensive.
