    A new update just dropped that got rid of the “menu” and now there is a “plan” instead. So now you cannot add recipes to your menu (which included a shopping list and a section to toggle which meals you want to shop for), you have to start a “plan” for the week. It is unbelievably annoying because I liked to add a bunch of stuff to my menu in advance and then toggle which meals I’ll prepare for the week. I also liked being able to delete meals and add meals whenever I want. I can’t plan for the week ahead now because you have one set plan and if you create a new one, it deletes the current one. I hope that makes sense, but it’s irritating to have to start a new plan every time I decide that I want to shop for something other than what I have added to my plan. I hope they change the app back to what it was before this update or at least include the menu idea along with the plan. Plus the new UI is so annoying to look at. I just miss the old app. If it doesn’t change, I might have to cancel my subscription tbh. This app has changed my life for the better, but the new update is just terrible.

    For literally no reason they chose to change the entire app. Completely hiding everything you were working on before. So much for all the groceries I shopped for. All trash now that I don’t have the Recipie! Highly recommend avoiding this one like the plague!

  • Impossible to move forward

    This app has sooo much potential. But I grew so frustrated trying to figure out how to move on to the next unit, I canceled my membership. No matter what I did to “cook” a recipe, it wouldn’t record. Maybe I’ll come back when bugs have been worked out

  • New Update Buggy and Confusing

    I lost all my progress on this new update. It says so many recipes are above my skill level that werent before this overhaul Most recipes either dont load their image or load the wrong one which makes visually "shopping" for a new recipe impossible. Theres no way to mark a recipe as cooked once youre done so you cant gain any xp???

    The new update is confusing I was at level 5 before the update after having the app for a couple months but not I’m at level 13 but unit 1. Now that I am at unit one it won’t let me plan around my old skill level I have to start with the basics like boiling water. I am hoping there is some way to get my progress back.

    Been using this app since March, not I’m kicked back to level 1 on concepts and when I try to advance through the lessons they won’t even load! My phone just sits there. Please fix, I love the recipes and I just want to cook :(

    Coming from someone who was literally afraid to boil water no less than 2 weeks ago, this app has been transformative. I can now make healthy and delicious meals for me and my family and I am learning new skills. The shopping list feature makes life so much easier and takes away the stress of meal planning. The free trial was great and getting the monthly subscription was a no brainer.

  • Subscription Required/Misleading Advertisments

    Advertised as the culinary version of Duolingo… However, Duolingo is free and this app requires a subscription. Great idea, but no thanks. Maybe change your misleading advertisements.
