    I love the app a lot specially because am trying to get into animation but some of the canvas like the square size and screen size doesn’t let me save to video gallery I don’t know if am the only one with that problem but apart from that is a pretty good app

    I don’t know if it’s because I have an older IPad or what, but I have an iPad 7 and this app is my literal nightmare. Flip a clip would be better, the app freezes it doesn’t pick up on my pen and straight up won’t let me draw at random. I have to close the app and open it again, removing all my undos and previous work, just to draw again. The track feature is good, you can import things like audio or video but you cannot extract audio from a video. You also have a limited amount of brushes, there’s no lasso tool to highlight specific sections of your drawing and the only way you can move the drawing your working on is by clicking out of the drawing track and using the video editing version to move it around. Overall, really sucky app. I’d rather use procreates mini animation options than have to wait a century for this application to register I’m drawing a line.

    Based on the development of Procreate I really believed that Dreams would flesh out to a complete tool but it just simply hasn't. I have spent dozens of hours in the app on personal and school projects and it’s a struggle every time. It’s a bit confusing to learn and hides functions through secret gestures and illusive menus, but that alone I could handle given I still love Procreate. However the app is missing basic functions, including the ever infamous missing lasso/transform tool. Every project I’ve used this app has been hindered by it, its borderline unusable and you quickly hit a ceiling of what can be reasonably achieved. It has been nearly a year and a half since it was released, and we are well past the acceptable time to fix these problems. This should have been done before the app dropped, and to this day it doesn't hold up as a hobbyist tool, let alone a professional one.

    As an animator from flip-a-clip transitioning to procreate dreams, I find it a little complicated but that’s not what I want to talk about. Please, please, please add a laso tool, each time I want to move a specific part of a character or object, it just moves the whole thing. All I ask is for there to be a tool that lets the animator pick or draw around a curtain part that we could either delete, resize, or move around. Please, that would be a game changer for not only me but for other animators. One more tool that could be in there is a tool that lets the animator create straight lines and perfect circles. I’m not saying this is really needed but it would help if we could create straight lines and perfect circles. Please devs, Please.

    Procreate is my favorite drawing app and I make all my animations on there. I was so excited to see this app come out because of how simple it is in procreate, I assumed this app would be even better. I was so wrong. With the amount of time this app has been out I would expect updates and features that are VITAL to the drawing and creating experience on Procreate to be added to this app. Nope. No selection (ribbon) button, No stabilization for brushes, (lack of brushes in general), No opacity options, No transferring procreate files smoothly. Creating a new layer is difficult, changing the duration time is difficult. I would expect the set up and tools used for this app be exact, if not, a LITTLE similar to Procreate. It’s like learning a new and less useful app. What a great opportunity wasted.

    As much as I love the art of animation, I hate to say that this app doesn’t full fill my goals. It needs an update. I’ve been in any animation apps that I can say that this one has rejected the needs of making a simple animation. I can’t go back when I made a mistake, and when you add an audio it repeats every single time depending on how much you zoomed in your layers. I deeply apologise if this doesn’t make sense, it’s my lack of English, but I know this will. Please make an update.

    Ever since switching to this ive been animating much less than before. The previous program i used had less picture quality but it was so much easier and more enjoyable to use, and i’m definitely going back. Ive been holding onto Dreams for a while now, but it’s been years, there’s no update, NO LASSO TOOL like that’s been widely demanded and frankly, I’m just giving up on it. The lack of a lasso tool is getting to be terribly detrimental to my work flow. Not sure why this program is allergic to buttons either- simplifying the ui should never equal removal of features. Also makes it confusing to use sometimes since I can’t find the features im looking for half the time despite trying to use this for literal weeks straight. This is the only thing I’ve ever made a review for, because it really shouldn’t take this long for something that shouldve came out with the initial release.

    I like the app I’m still playing with it.. but a selection tool would be nice, it would be a great app if it had all the drawing tools of procreate with the animation tools of this one. Overall cool app! For now I’ll animate on procreate since it’s what I’m used to !
