  • Some qualms but overall fun game

    Pros: Lovely art for the most part. The game economy has improved in the year I’ve been playing it. Decent rewards even as a mostly-FTP player. Cons: Performance hiccups apparent on mobile. Cards get nerfed after the season is over so the BP/Key cards stay in the meta; should be nerfed earlier in the season imo. Banana card splits clog up space and need to go. Neutral: As with any TCG, the balance for newer cards is hit or miss. Some cards are still in dire need of a rework (see: Kang). Overall fun game, not many others on the market like this with a big IP!

    The game is fun and addictive when it works. I’ve had multiple lag and crashes now for the past 2 months with support telling me “they will look into it” and wanting me to provide screenshots or vids when it constantly but randomly crashes. How am I supposed to know when? If they’ll fix it, I’ll re-rate at 5* where it could and should be

    Really fun game but acquiring new cards is thee most expensive in any VTCG out there and it’s not even close. You can play 6 months and unlock the resources for ONE CARD but have to wait 3 months checking 3x a day or 9 months in total for ONE CARD. Every meta deck has at least one of these cards to play a certain deck to any success. Any new player has virtually 0 chance of catching up, or enjoying the game for most of the year as you try to create a single deck in the ocean of $100+ value cards ig. The game is the antithesis of the word accessible. If you are not willing to spend 100s on this game every other week it’s not for you and if you are new and intend to play a functioning deck before the year ends the game is not for you. If you are willing to pay 100s to wait for months then lucky you the card game is pretty fun.

    Made a random deck rather than the ones everyone put together and literally got countered and stages sided with the opponents at this point I’ll waste my time on another game

  • Season Pass Nerf

    Only reason I can’t give 5 stars is because completing the seasons missions no longer complete the season pass. I think this is a terrible design flaw. Been playing since the beginning but the last two seasons, have done me dirty. Finish all missions and yet it doesn’t complete the season pass?? Please rework this

    You have a higher probability of winning if you put money into this game. No money to play? Expect to lose 90% of the time. The game will eventually give you a couple wins in a row to keep you thinking it’s fair.

  • Fun Marvel Game with Various Strategies

    I love playing this game as I can play quick fun games against random people and friends online where I can play with characters I love and new characters. There is an archetype play-style for everyone with so many different ways to play the cards in the game. Every game is different too with the circumstances changing regarding the card play locations. You will never get bored and I play this game all the time when I need a quick way to enjoy myself, both on my phone and on the computer.

    Marvel Snap is a beautifully designed game with incredible potential, but it consistently falls short in how it treats its players. The rampant use of bots—especially at high collection levels—makes matches feel orchestrated rather than competitive. Opponents with absurd stats play irrationally or quit without reason, breaking immersion and making wins feel hollow. As a Marvel fan, I want to love this game, but the lack of transparency, poor support tools, and emphasis on engagement metrics over genuine play make it feel like player time isn’t valued. It’s less about strategy, more about maintaining a win/loss balance for monetization. Until the developers prioritize real player experience over background systems, it’s hard to recommend this long-term.
