  • Great but needs higher quality video options.

    It would be great to have a higher resolution low compression mode where it may use more bandwidth but there is better quality video. Even if it was a local direct connect only type of situation. Sometimes it’s tough to check in on breathing from the camera because the video artifacts and compression make small movements difficult to see.

  • IOS vs. Android App issues

    My significant other and I both have the app. Myself(IOS) Him(Android), up until today everything has been working perfectly… now my app(IOS) says that the dream sock has been removed. (We have the Dream Sock that is NOT supposed to be discontinued) and on his phone(Android) it is working perfectly.(currently) I am still able to see his overview stats(we pay for owlet 360) But no live stats or even registering the dream sock on my device. Even after all recommended fixes has been exhausted, and updates/software has been verified. I have not been able to resolve this issue.

    Worked well before. Why impose an upgrade to 360 that basically no longer works? I feel the team developing this App keeps adding junk nobody is asking for. Few months ago, you added purple notifications which were also useless (full of false positives that would wake up my baby) Now, this upgrade means my son won’t have monitoring tonight. Does this seem fair to you?

    The app used to work great for checking in our son, but after the past updates it fails to load nearly every time we try to access the camera or if it does decide to load, only a frozen picture appears before it crashes.

    Be prepared to be told your camera is offline multiple times a night even though no other devices on my WiFi have any issues. Oh and then enjoy the chat bot that does nothing but tell you to try back during business hours. I’ll make sure to tell my baby to sleep during business hours next time so we can actually get assistance.

  • Convenient, but so glitchy I wish I had bought a regular baby monitor. Gave up on sock. Falls off.

    Gave up on the sock after two weeks. And she was a big baby too, so it’s not like her feet were too small. As for the app and camera…. Freezes constantly, picks up the wrong sound and motion (the light changing from day to night outside sets it off, but not me putting my baby down for a nap?!?), can’t watch video playback half the time you want to rewatch a clip, poor video quality for the money… just not quite worth it.

    I decided to write a negative review because app freezes constantly on iOS 18.3.2 (iPhone 13). Can’t really do anything with it other than check the camera. Can’t set clip recording or notifications, which leads me to… For such a premium item I expected more. It’s my own fault for thinking it was a good idea—in order to see or hear the baby monitor you have to have the app open and running on your phone (obvious, I know!). But if you have to use your phone for work (or anything else), this is unrealistic. Save your money and get a regular baby monitor. Especially if you live in a small house or apartment. 3 stars for the device, which is fine. 1 star for the app, which simply doesn’t work for me.

    I purchased this with the dream sock in 2023 for almost $400. It worked ok with my first but the camera was so glitchy I always used a secondary monitor. I’m due with my 2nd in June and was excited to use it, but with this last update I’m tempted to throw the whole thing away. I kept the camera for the clips, knowing I risk some creep hacking into it. Now that owlet expects me to pay for features that were free at the time Of purchase I’m tempted to throw the whole thing out. What a ripoff!

    This might be the worst app update of all time. So many people commenting on how this whole set up is now fully non-functional and nothing has been done to fix it. Do not buy this camera, the connectivity is atrocious. You also can’t email anyone to get help, customer service is non-existent. Update: company said there was going to be an update to fix these terrible issues during the week of March 23 and still nothing, customer service is still non-existent.
