Please don’t listen to the grumpy guy who apparently does not know how to configure this app. It works great! Thank you so much for creating it.
  • If you’re trying to get rid of that annoying YouTube banner….

Don’t waste your time, this doesn’t help to get rid of the banner for apps you already have installed and if you do like I did, it will be forever etched into the indelible stone tablet on apple’s server that you once downloaded this software. You will never ever ever be able to forgive yourself because apple will never let you forget. Would be 5 stars, but the platform it runs on is the actual issue. Not the developer’s fault, just don’t want people to go through the time and the indelible history of another app to scroll past when looking for an app you actually care about in your library, all because they downloaded this software thinking it would do something it could never deliver in the first place.

I'm guessing the negative reviewers assumed that this extension would remove custom "Use in App" banners that websites may implement when viewing in mobile view mode and/or below a set resolution. Rather, it removes the suggested app banner at the top of the screen that Safari generates.

Giving it 2 stars because I’ve been wanting an app like this for so long AS LONG AS IT WORKS
  • Great idea; developer gave up?

As others have noted the lack of updates is apparently why Amazon and other sites still have their smart banners at the top of pages. I guess the developer tried this once and then gave up or moved on to better things. You should likewise move onto better things. This app is no longer helpful.
  • When was the last update

They don’t update it so it’s not surprising that websites still have their smart banner recommending I use their app
  • Works sometimes

Thank you so much for this. Ignore the bad reviewers, they didn’t read the instructions and don’t understand what this does and doesn’t do. It does exactly what it promises: blocks the annoying banner telling you to download an app when you visit a website. Perfect.
