Too many micro transactions. Inconsistent sleep style data. For a franchise that is designed to be exploited for min/maxing the rng mechanic makes this nothing less than gambling with the expense of your privacy.

If you have hectic hours like I do to where your sleep schedule is all of the map. It’s hard to keep the streak going because of setting a bedtime. In a single week time I can work every hour of the day.

I love this app I use it almost everyday for the past year, one thing that does annoy me a bit is the excessive pop up or pause in the game to show your snorlax has ranked up or when a new pokemon sleep style is added. I wish there was an option to disable the rank up for snorlax because you can clearly see what rank it is on the top bar and it interrupts gameplay, it feels unnecessary. I know this is nit picky i love every other aspect, catching pkmn, studying sleep styles is a really cool concept and the fact you can play any time of the day and not only at night is awesome.

The bugs that have been existing since the release of the game are still there, they are so hard too fix or just no one cares? 1. Sometimes app still stuck on the loading screen 2. Sometimes still no BGM for unknown reasons 3. If you sleep after 0:00,for example 0:30,the game still indicates that you sleep at « 25:30 »,so Pokémon world is not 24 hours a day?
  • Too much

The app has too much going on and none of it has been interesting. I have not used the app much because as a beginner there are too many side quests and tabs they offer. I just want to log my sleep and get better pokemon but it takes 5 minutes to set up a sleep because of all the excessive “achievements” and “rewards” from the night before. I fall asleep from hitting the “next” and “skip” buttons. So I guess that’s a plus

It seems really interesting but when I tried to read the terms of service and privacy notice it didn’t load. I tried uninstalling it then reinstalling it but it didn’t work, it doesn’t let you accept it until you’ve read it.
  • WHERE IS MY MAGIKARP?!?

Honestly, this game is amazing, And simple. One problem though. NO MAGIKARP? Huge missed opportunity there! All the patterns, and sleep styles… Oh, the delight to find a shiny… Other than that and the difficulty to find new recipes, this game is PERFECT!!! Also, that “this Pokémon is full!” Is so annoying! Imagine this”you just found your favorite Pokémon! You are trying to befriend it, when suddenly, it gets full.” So hurtful! Other than that, this game is perfect!!!

I love the idea of this app. However, in practice, this is a very frustrating app to use. When my phone is my alarm and I can’t track my sleep unless I have it on all night laying on the bed next to me…that’s just not possible. And it would not be so bad if that didn’t equate to the app deciding not to track my time because I have to have my phone at a place where I can ensure that I hear my alarm, and the texts from my team when they call. So I lose out on the game currencies because it’s saying that I didn’t meet the sleep quota that I should have because it stopped tracking my sleep. It just ends up with the frustrations outweighing any fun parts of the game. With the way that I personally sleep it is very likely that my phone get covered with a pillow or blanket while I’m sleeping, and in fact this has happened and prevented me from hearing an alarm. So if you don’t sleep in a way that the developers have decided is a “normal” way to sleep then you’re going to miss out on the functions of the app. I essentially got to the point where the frustrations outweigh any quality points of the app. This app is also made for people who have a consistent work schedule. And thus sleep schedule. Anyone who ends up switching between morning and night shift will have the reward tickets reset every single time that you have to change when you go to bed and wake up. It just feels like there wasn’t much research into the various ways in which someone would need to use this app and thus you get penalized for it. I understand that the purpose is likely to keep people from abusing the system. I will also say that the sleep tips that pop up on the loading screens are the most unusual thing ever because the game usually loads before you can even finish reading what it says.
