This app has some good things going for it. To get me to pay, there needs to be two fixes. 1) The meal planning needs work. Why oh why are there not Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner sections for planning out each meal of the day? Huh? I almost threw up in my mouth just thinking about paying for a meal planning app that didn’t let me meal plan all my meals. Melo does this at a much cheaper price. Cmon dawg. 2) Please add a section that allows us to put the macros or other health metrics we care about. Just put an optional note pad that allows us to enter total Calories, Fat, Protein, Carbs, Sodium, etc. The rest of this app looks great. The only reason I haven’t bought Mela yet is because it doesn’t have a feature that rivals Pestle’s Start Cooking feature. But maybe it’s not as important to me as the meal planning that Mela does so well.

I tried out a lot of different recipe manager apps and this is by far the best one. No more screenshotting recipes and losing them in my photos, no more printing them and having paper clutter, or even worse handwriting them. I have a very needy infant that keeps me busy and my most favorite part is being able to generate a shopping list from a chosen recipe! Thank you for making such a great app and not charging an arm and a leg like others!
  • Best recipe booklet yet!

I am a very offline person aside from cooking—I have a set of recipe blogs I use religiously, and my household has a running list of favorites we’ve tried. Aside from printing off the recipes and keeping them in an album, this is far & away the easiest way to compile recipes I want to make again. It’s extremely user-friendly and customizable, which fits my needs, and I love that the same cookbook it can be shared among users to collaborate. Love love love. Thank you!!!

I've used this for years and the bugs have been more consistent then anything. Will misread recipies, forget what day it is, and on several occasions: forget I paid my subscription and downgrade my account. Finally got tired of it and moved on

I have deleted my account and will never return. I joined on 3/2022 a lifetime account for $25. Clearly this was a lie. Now I’m supposed to buy in each year for the same service, no thanks.

I have tested many apps. The last one I was using was Paprika 3 but I felt like there was another app that probably met my needs better. Behold: Pestle. I’m obsessed. And this app was created by a really nice guy who does everything himself, including replying to all emails. I’m glad I chose this app and I’m happy to support a small business!
  • The BEST recipe app

I really love this app. It’s so easy to save recipes from Instagram, websites, or to import from photos/recipe books etc. the developer has really been thoughtful in creating this app and added so many great features. You can scale recipes if you want to make more or less, create timers, add recipes to a calendar, create a grocery list, and easily text recipes to people. The hands free cook mode is also awesome. I used it for a day and knew I wanted the lifetime membership.

Love this app. Have had this since launch! I just wish this had a better recipe scanner than. Title>ingredients>content. Add an all in one scan like other competitor app please. Also a desktop app for Mac or at least recipe management on browser!
