  • Great Concept, but Only Covers Half of US

I downloaded this app to more easily get updates on the many wildfires currently burning in Western NC. While the concept of the app is really great, the app only covers the western half of the US, rendering it useless to several states.
  • This app alerted me sooner that my reverse 911 call for my last evacuation

My wife had this app and I didn’t. She alerted me to a fire about a mile from our house a solid 5 minutes before the sheriffs office did the reverse 911 call to evacuate.

Sounded like just what we needed as our neighborhood is at risk of being burnt by a wildfire in Western NC. Unfortunately it doesnt cover all states, wish he had known before downloading the app.

I’m in South Carolina and we are having wildfires right now but it won’t show me the fires and the containment in our state. It only shows fires in the east, mainly California.

Very fast information about fires with continuous updates. Shows maps of mandatory evacuation areas and evacuation warning areas that are updated as well. Very useful during the terrible recent fires in LA.

Important! one must keep up on any wild or controlled evacuation plans for burns in the area and know the evacuation plan for their home and animals!
  • Lacks frequent Updating

This free app would be perfect if it updated automatically to current conditions. It only updates every 24/48 hours and when my state had wildfires last week, it was hard to tell if it was current or an old fire. Someone posted on FB that he paid for the subscription and it still doesn't update to current time.
