Besides the indicators of "to read", "did not finish", etc. could you also include "re-reading"? There are many books we read more than once.
  • I think I broke it

I’ve been using this long enough to have logged 47 books (technically 48 as I write this) and suddenly, it won’t allow me to track my progress or leave a review. Do I read too fast? Has my activity been flagged as if I’m a bot and not a real person? I’ve deleted and downloaded the app, I’ve signed out and signed back in and nothing seems to fix the problem. I really enjoy it, it allows my best friend and I another way to stay in touch since we no longer live in the same city. I don’t want to find another reading app, please fix this!

Using this app is difficult. Taps don’t register the first time, I have to keep tapping. For everything. It’s also kind of slow to load or do anything. I tried to upload a photo to my profile from my iPhones photo library and it says it’s too big. Okay then why even give the option to upload from library? How about some compression behind the scenes. This is not hard. Say what you will about Goodreads but at least it works.

I think this app has potential but every time I go to add a book, the app freezes and I have to close and get back in.

I love StoryGraph on the computer but this app is not good. It’s so wonky and unresponsive. Books go missing after I’ve marked them read and reviewed them. Forget about catching up if you haven’t input all your reads as you read them — trying to enter a bunch all in one session will be an impossible task. I also can’t stand it that the home page displays “to read” at the top and with no ability to toggle — Im truly more concerned with stuff I’ve finished, not old stuff I’ve added to a to be read list at some point. All in all, deeply frustrating. Not what I come to StoryGraph for at all.

UPDATE: Blatant disinformation from developer in response to my review!! See below— I don’t even think they read the review before responding… any reader knows a 3x/wk limit makes the free version useless. SHAME on StoryGraph! [Original review: Reading more than 3x/wk requires paid version 👎🏽 otherwise exactly what I was looking for— huge disappointment]

My favorite book tracking and review app! The graphs are so nice, plus I love being able to review down to the quarter star!! More people need this better than Goodreads app!

I never write reviews, but anything that isn’t owned by the A conglomerate is a win. The fact that this is independent is a huge plus and the suggestions I get are a lot more useful than the “other” reading tracking app. Huge props to building a great community!

I have now been using this app for an entire year and I feel confident in my review. I was previously using an excel spreadsheet to track my books which was not ideal. I adore this app, I adore the reading journal and it’s an app I’m super happy to pay for and support. I love having a “to read” list all in one place.
