    I had used a trial of the app back when it first came out but never subscribed. I re-downloaded the app just recently because they have added several things and I wanted to see if it was better. Well, it gave me the option for another trial so I signed up. After getting in (because it won’t let you even preview the app without a subscription), I noticed it had charged me. I contacted Apple to cancel it right then. I mean only minutes since I had signed up. They wouldn’t do it. Their maps aren’t good at all. The topos are terrible and most places I hunt doesn’t show winter aerials. Terrible app. I see another review says something similar and Spartan Forge replied that they were working on a free version. That was 2 years ago. Make sure you want the app because they’ll take your money before you can even preview new updated features. Total rip off

    This is the best hunting app I’ve ever used. Amazing features and they’re consistently upgrading and adding new features to the app. If you have any problems and you email them, they’re able to fix it right away. They support great causes and help those who are in need. I use this app for both hunting and throughout my job for property lines and boundaries

    It says 14 day free trial. Created login, next page wants me to pay monthly/yearly up front before I start my “free trial”. No thanks. SCAM.

    This app is absolute trash. Property owners are incorrect all over the place. God knows when the last time it was updated. It’s still showing my tractor in a spot where it hasn’t been in more than two years. Absolute waste of money. Y’all need to do a lot of work to get this app anywhere close to the competitors. I never write reviews like this but this had to be said. It also told me 14 day free trial but charged me anyway without giving the trial period.

    I have been using Spartan forge for this deer season and the movement predictions are spot on. And the wind direction is most of the time right. Also the maps are great with great features to go along with that’s. I would recommend Spartan forge over any other mapping app any day!!!

    App now requires you to allow random websites to extract and share your information. I’ll be going back to OnX which is a better app anyway. Spartan forge layers are good but the organization of the app is less than decent and they aren’t going to improve on that.

    I recently switched from On-X about a year and a half ago, and I will never switch back. Spartan’s imagery and historical imagery is top-tier, in comparison to On-X that looks like Google Maps in 2016. Since my switch, I’ve killed many more deers than i have with X, these guys know what they’re doing!

    This has the potential to be the top app on the market but it’s just not there yet. I tried it for the LiDar and that is the only good aspect of this app. Outside of that it’s not an intuitive experience. There is an over abundance of waypoint markers but only a few colors. It does not compare to onX or HuntStand when it comes to marking boundaries or areas. It really does not sync as efficiently as the other top apps. When trying to view public access lands it grabs some and access is not available on my computer but is on the phone. If you spent half of the effort needed to just get the user experience as clean as onX I’d be inclined to move to this one…you just are not there yet. I’ll be canceling before my free trial ends.
