Runestone is made by a single person with a love for text editors and a vision of building the most lightweight text editor for iPhone and iPad that still has the core features for editing code.     On macOS, I use Pulsar for Markdown docs and Nova for code. I was looking for a single iPad app that could handle all of my text editing, and Runestone feels like the one. Runestone strikes that ideal balance between being both straightforward and full of features. Very excited to have discovered it, thank you! Two feature requests: 1. Indent wrapped lines → I use Markdown docs for outlining, which means lots of lists and indents. When Runestone wraps lines, the wrapped lines don’t match the indent of that item, which can be tricky for me to read. 2. Assigning themes to Languages → I’d love to swap themes automatically based on the doc (I’d choose different themes for Markdown and code).

    I am blind and use the VoiceOver screen reader to navigate my iPhone or iPad. For my iPad, I use a keyboard case. In other places where I can edit text, I can use the arrow keys to move around the edit box. I can use option left or right arrow to move by word. I can add the shift key to select text. I can use Command left or right arrow to go to the beginning or end of a line, and command up or down arrow to go to the top or bottom of a document. Can these keyboard commands be added to Runestone? If Runestone already has these commands, can this be made to work with VoiceOver? If this is added, I will purchase the premium version.

    i used iSSH v1. to date my iPhone app usage. sure wish there was a text editor then like this one. now i'm re-learning everything i used to do at a computer, i can do on my phone/computer/camera/.... great tool. but there are some things i miss about the old days of notepad++. 😛

  • Problem with Synology NAS

    This may be an operator error. From my iPad I can view folders and files on my Synology NAS, but I can neither open a text file thereon nor create a new one.
