This is direct instruction that I used to teach my K-1 students in an app!

My 5 year old has some reading and letters figured out but this makes her slow down to make sure she is doing them correctly. I also love that I have to help her do them, it makes me slow down too :)

Highly recommend. My daughter has dyslexia and this is really helping and is making her enjoy learning again. Love that we can do it together!

I would’ve given it 5 stars but after completing 3 levels, it made us start all the way over to level 1 and we can’t even skip so we have to do it ALL OVER again.

This app helped my daughter grasp the concept of phonetics. She has the art of sounding words out — even the more challenging ones. Love the app

If only I had come across this app when I was still in the classroom! I had so many parents asking for simple tools they could use to help their children improve their reading skills at home without just handing them an iPad to do it on their own. This Learn to Read app is meant to be done TOGETHER — making parents a part of the process, going through the lessons alongside their kids. That makes a huge difference for struggling readers who need some extra support and encouragement without getting frustrated as well as for easily distracted learners who benefit from the parent keeping them on track. The gamification aspect keeps it fun for kids. And for the teachers/admins out there, they have a whole admin portal for schools, classes, reporting, and curricula (which are even state-aligned).

I love how reading.com allows my daughter Isabella to review her sounds before each lesson. Also how the lessons gradually builds up to prepare her for the next lessons.
  • Couldn’t recommend this app enough

My daughter was showing interest in reading at 1 yo and soon I was having trouble keeping up with supplying her with reading practice materials lol enter reading.com and I now have a fluent reader at 2 yo 🙂 digestible lessons that aren’t too long with just enough character engagement (not overstimulating).
