  • Garbage ai created app

    Garbage and frustrating user experience with terrible and wrong content. Horrible support. You’d think the app would get better over time but it just gets noticeably worse. Would not renew this subscription

  • Garbage level ability to hear speech

    I have to repeat each phrase 3-5 times for it to even recognize that I’m speaking. Canceling this junk app once my subscription is finished. Also, for some of the exercises it’s not all clear what it wants you to do. In those cases I just type in random letters and it tells me I got it wrong (obv) but never shows what you were supposed to do so you learn absolutely nothing.

    I had high hopes for this app. Unfortunately, it would only load to a black screen. I did all of things- made more space one my phone (this wasn’t even close to the problem), closed all other apps, restarted my phone, and deleted and installed the app. All the id10t error fixes. Nothing worked. I had to be super quick to select something before the page loaded to nothingness. Thankfully, I was able (after multiple frustrated tries) to access the settings area to cancel my subscription.

    I accidentally subscribed to jumpspeak AI while purchasing the jumpspeak app. Now I am unable to cancel, even after following the prompts on how to do so. So far no luck finding a way to contact someone in order to process the cancellation.

  • Glitchy, Inaccurate, and Doesn’t Recognize Speech

    I am a native Chinese speaker that is trying to get better at Mandarin, I’ve been learning Japanese for 5 years, and I’m a beginner at Korean. I tried all three of these classes and all are extremely messed up and difficult. A lot of the written Japanese would not match up with the speech example, and did not match up with the romaji/english romanization either. The speech recognition is ridiculously bad and won’t recognize your speech no matter how accurately you say it. Don’t bother getting this app until they improve these features.

  • The Taiwanese speech is in Mandarin not actual Taiwanese Hokkien

    A bit disappointed that the speech for Taiwanese is just in Mandarin. I do see that it has the pinyin for the TW Hokkien underneath. But isn’t the whole point to practice speaking/pronunciation?

  • Buyer Beware: Customer Support Contact Info is Not Provided and Refund Not Processed

    There was a sales offer that said that they offered a 90-day money back guarantee. However, there’s no ability to actually ask for a refund and no way to contact anyone. I included a note with the cancelation request but have not received any response from the co. My account is still showing a subscription expiration in 5/2026 vs 5/2025. Very disappointing.

  • Need more languages - Tagalog

    During free trial, I tried the Spanish course and it was great. I’m waiting for Tagalog/Filipino to be added next. I want to subscribe but need Tagalog. Thanks!!

  • Good structure, terrible technicalities

    The lessons are structured well but when it comes to technicals like speech recognition this app is up there with the worst. If you can handle your emotions when the app is performing terribly especially with speech recognition then it’s a great app

  • Bugs in the app

    The app still needs work. I have been on it for a week and cannot complete the full lesson because on the writing part it keeps freezing. This forces you to skip the lesson to continue. Even reloading the app or starting the lesson over does not solve it.
