Description

Discover nearby Bluetooth peripherals and inspect their services for information and characteristics. • View information and signal strength for all peripherals and devices, updating in real time as you move around. • Get battery level for your own Apple devices — no need to install the app on all your devices. • See model identification broadcast by devices around you, mapping the Apple device identifier to the marketing name. • Extract software and firmware version strings from devices broadcasting this information. • Read any characteristic's value, even for services not well known and are custom to the device being interrogated. • Write characteristic values back to the peripheral as string, numeric or hex (pro). • See a history of the value of a characteristic since the session started, timestamped to when the value changed (pro). • Log found peripherals, services, characteristics and values, and export a .log file of timestamped events for your analysis (pro). • Shortcuts integration with actions for scanning and interrogation, enumerating services and characteristics, and reading values (pro). Get support on Twitter @grgarside or georgegarside.com/apps/bluetooth-inspector Constant use of Bluetooth connectivity can drain your device's battery. Bluetooth connectivity is only used when this app is in the foreground and up to a few seconds after being backgrounded to safely disconnect from peripherals being interrogated.

Rarely ever will I submit a review. BUTTT had to for this app. Being the most (maybe the only) useful app I’ve ever downloaded. It does exactly as claims in description. You will not be disappointed. Best part payment is one and done! NO monthly subscription. Discover any & all devices around you connect to them without user permission. VERY HELPFUL & FUN! ❤️Love itttt ♥️
  • Annoying map bug

I purchased this mainly because of the estimated location map view. However there is an annoying bug where I can’t zoom in nor out, if I pinch-zoom in, it works but as soon as I let go it takes me back to a default view where i can hardly see anything in terms of device numbers. Please fix.

Not sure if this got updated or not but tried installing and it doesn’t work. Like the app can’t even start ask for permission and there no options for it then it saids change setting in app wich tells you you need to go to system settings and change security to allow it but when you click on it it take you to app settings and tells you go back to app to change settings an endless loop of not working

Both of these iOS apps have changed my life completely!
  • Buried Summary

Of the several hundred available devices, summary information can only be gained by opening one device at a time. It is a fools task. Having a UUID filter alone would improve things.

Love the app, hope it stays the same, and same for the one time payment. But I would like the app to also be available on Android which can even make the app more powerful and useful.

I know I can’t expect much on iPhone side, but I do expect it to be functional in some way. I have purchased the pro version, but it doesn’t seem to have improved things. It might just be the area that I live in. I hit scan, and I get about 80-100 devices listed as Unknown in an unknown area around me. Even interrogating everything, does not update the screen, but I get requests from all my neighbors iPhones and iPads to connect to my phone. What it does not do is find or connect to my Bluetooth speaker sitting 5 feet away. This is not useful. It seems that I don’t have all of the controls or the ability to go further into the app. Or access to support. The map would be useful if I could zoom in closer than a 1000 square feet so all I see is my location buried under a cluster of unknown devices. I don’t know what it would look like on other devices but if this is it for the iPhone then I am just not impressed. Sorry, but I really did want it to succeed because I need the information it promised and all I got was glitch.
