  • Trouble connecting

Content is great but this App sometimes can’t connect on 5G networks even when Spotify and others can connect.
  • Great Content, but……

Content is great but user interface (iOS app) really needs help. Because of the UI being unfriendly, once my trial period expires, I will not be upgrading to a subscription. Some recommendations I have are: 1. The ability to mark all episodes as played as this would be helpful for those switching over from other podcast players. 2. The ability to make custom playlists. 3. Some way to clear continue playing list.

I was getting really into the cotton club murders series on Spotify only to be hit with a wondery plus paywall. No I will not be signing up for another subscription just to listen to 3 more episodes
  • Poor Login

First of all, I’m constantly having to “prove” my subscription. Most times I access the app, I get hammered with offers to sign up. BUT I’m already a member. And I’m looking for where to at least sign in. Terrible. Also, it’s difficult to find good stories and the Wondery-produced content is sappy and lacks sophistication.
  • The app is clunky and underdeveloped.

Podcasts good. App … pretty poor. There’s no reason it has to be so cumbersome and unfriendly. I mean Amazon owns Wondery … make the investment this app is miserable.
  • Love the show, hate the app

I purchased this app because I love Lindsay Graham’s American Scandals and didn’t want to have to listen to the ads. But honestly, this is one of the worst apps I have ever used. If there is a way to navigate to specific shows in specific episodes, I haven’t been able to figure it out. It would have been less time consuming and expensive tto listen to the ads.

I have a Wondery+ subscription, and it’s one subscription where I feel I get a LOT for my money. Instead of paying $30 to $40 a year for a single show or two to be commercial-free, I’m paying for many shows to be commercial-free. I’m paying for excellent content and well-produced podcasts; and nearly all are intelligent, informative and at the least entertaining! The only issues I’ve had are when I subscribed to Wondery+ through Apple. There are issues with syncing programs and release dates. Apple’s release dates and times are frequently later or a week behind either by fault or design. That’s not fair when you pay the same price for each format. My advice? Stick with the Wondery app if you are a subscriber, and don’t go through Apple. The app works great, and I haven’t had issues with it. The content is awesome, too, so worth 5 stars.
  • App is clunky

The content is great but the app functionality is average at best. Spend time with Pocket Casts and do what they did. Sleep timer adjustments, playlist management, brutal to use.
