Description

The Strikeman app allows users to practice their shooting skills without the need for real ammunition. Using our laser bullet, target and smart phone mount, the app records the target and records the users shot scores based on where the laser hit the target. The app is composed of 3 sections: Section 1 – Training The training section is the initial area of the app where the user can practice their shooting skills. Upon beginning a session, a warning screen is shown to ensure that proper firearm safety is taking place before beginning a session. Once the user agrees, the target appears on the screen. The user calibrates the screen to the target by using two fingers to cover the circumference of the target. Then, the distance from the target is selected and they can begin shooting. Each shot from the firearm triggers a laser, which emits a laser strike on the target, and the app records the score. Shooting metrics appear on the screen to show the user how they are doing during the session. This is accompanied by audio. Once the session is complete, all shots will be shown on the target and saved into an archive. Section 2 – History The history section provides screenshots, shooting metrics, and graphs for the user to track their progress. This includes average score, average range, total shots and total sessions. The information is presented on a histogram and a pie chart. This information is saved in an archive. Section 3 – Settings The settings section allows the user to turn on/off gun shot audio and voice feedback. Users can toggle the distance metric, selecting either feet or yards. They can also report an issue if the app isn’t working correctly. The App provides access to the initial tutorial to ensure that all safety precautions are being taken. • Complete lie they need contact access

As an iOS developer, there is ZERO reason they need access to read all of your contacts phone and email addresses.
  • Kind of works sometimes

The system is good, but the app only works sometimes in lower light. For self-defense training, low light is essential training. So you should think about how to improve the software’s low light comparability.
  • App does not work, buy the mantis x2 instead

I bought the Strikeman cartridge set up and it worked fine for a couple of weeks. It has since stopped working. The app will not calibrate to the Strikeman target. This is true whether indoors or outdoors. I have deleted and reinstalled the app several times but it still does not recognize the target. I have tried with other phones. It still does not work. Get the mantis x2 instead.

Want to connect to Bluetooth? Too bad. You can’t unless you pay for the “Pro” version. Which buys you nothing except re-enabling Bluetooth.
  • Laser Bore sight

I just received yesterday 2 laser cartridge(.380 & .223)(I have a .40cal laser cartridge already works perfectly)they work perfectly. But the laser bore sight, nothing, no laser whatsoever I turned the batteries around, nothing. The back of the cartridge where the striker hits the cartridge looks nothing like the laser cartridges. I’m confused. What am I missing?

App doesn’t work at all. Either makes up shots or fails to pick up actual shots. Complete fail.

I’m quite amazed how easy this was to set up and use. Still learning since I’m a senior, but a great item to use in the privacy of your home to get more familiar with your weapon and your aim. Well worth the money.

I’ve used the app with both a 9mm and .40 cal laser cartridge. My .40 cal handgun is really stiff even after at least 1000 rounds down range. I’ve used the Strikeman app to continue breaking it in when I don’t have time to go to the range, especially since .40 cal ammo is so expensive right now. Set up each time I go to shoot is pretty easy, and it recognizes the target both when the phone is directly in line and when it’s at a slight angle. It is annoying to have to rack the slide back each time I shoot, but I keep telling myself that it’s not only continuing to break it in but that it’s also great to practice muscle memory when my hands reset so that I’m continually resetting it at the right angle. It seems that the app hits to the right of where I’m aiming, but I also may need to adjust my sights, and I haven’t done enough comparison to the range at the same distances to determine which is the issue. Regardless, I’m glad I finally pulled the trigger on the purchase so I can practice more often.

The app and hardware worked perfectly. I’ve been using it about 10-15 minutes a day and can tell a remarkable difference.

The Strikeman app is straightforward and user friendly. You can setup multiple courses of fire to change up your dryfire experience. I enjoy using the app at home to improve my shooting.
