    The add wall ruins the App, I don’t have 80 bucks to spare and it doesn’t let me say No, instead I have to keep closing and opening the App only for it to keep harassing me and I can’t talk to my brothers who are fasting from social media for lent

  • Monthly payments gone

    It used to be that you could pay for this app monthly. I did this when I did the 90 day program as well as the lent program. I was ready to join my brothers this year but found they had removed this option. Now you have to pay yearly. It was very disappointing. “Let us help you in your faith journey while we line our pockets!” I found another program that’s free and I’m doing that for my Lenten program this year.

  • Nice while it lasted

    It was a good program last year, but now I can’t even open the app without being forced to subscribe for a whole year or just exit the app. Terrible idea considering many people only use it for 40 days. And since I’m not using it this year, I probably won’t even think of it next year even if they do change the payment system. Major blunder on their part

    I understand the business model is tough when it likely gets a majority of its engagement for a 90 day period. Seems to me that it would turn people off less if they had more transparency on costs prior to the free trial period, and offered a 90 day package for something like half the price of the annual. All or nothing is one of the more absurd pricing models I have seen recently.

    Last year from our church we had 12 guys x $10 x 3 months = $360. This year 0 guys x $90 x 1 year = $0. You should have developed a separate year-round app. Our Exodus 90 church group has disbanded and gone our separate ways.

    I’ve been working Exodus 90 and its follow-on programs for several years now. This year’s reflections on Exodus are the best I’ve ever seen in the app, and it’s not too late to join. As well, the additional resources on the app, especially Bishop Varen but also Fr. Boniface Hicks OSB help one to go as deeply into developing the spiritual life as one cares to go. Although the program is designed for men aged 25-40, men of all ages make use of the app and benefit from it. I’ve come to find Exodus 90 an invaluable tool, and I am not especially a fan of app-based spiritual growth program. If you’ve been on the fence, hop in. You’ll find what you’re looking for because you’ll be given what you need.

    I think the makers of this app and the business that they’ve built around it really ought to examine their motivations. The discipline encourages carefulness in spending, yet demands $90 to be a part of the community and experience? Shame on you. No monthly option, no 90-day option; you know what you’re doing and you’re becoming the money changers. Jesus would flip your tables, with your “value pricing” of maturity in Christian faith. Change the name of the apostolate promise to the apostate promise. What’s worth $90? It’s a daily checklist and a reading. Recommendation to buyers on the fence; commit to journaling and reading your Bible and spending time in prayer, and save yourself a LOT of money.

    Don’t get me wrong. I am not trying to be mean, but the narrators last year were better. Jamie Baxter, I love you brother, but please don’t read next year. Your voice is way too monotone and somber. I have to mute the app and read the reflection myself. 5 stars without Jamie reading.

  • Great app but bring back monthly payments

    $90 for a 3-month app is way too much. I’m going to continue doing the challenge without the app. I’d happily pay $10/month for three months. I think it should be more transparent up front if this is the case

    For all of those men who know they are weak in faith, this is the place to be! They do an amazing job and focusing your prayers to exactly what you need in life. Not to mention the added videos are great. I recommend this app to every single Christian man! It will bring you out of whatever spiritual funk you’re currently stuck in!
