  • Feature Suggestion !!!

The budgeting section could be improved by splitting it into categories like expenses, savings, and savings goals. Currently, it only tracks monthly expenses and outflows, but I’d like to see a feature that lets users set differing savings and savings goals. For example, a visual meter that turns red if the savings goal for the month isn’t met—similar to how it shows if you’ve overspent on expenses. This would give a clearer overview of both spending and savings, helping users stay on track financially and tracking all “expenses” Also a feature to move the categories would nice - should I wanna move one budgeting category higher or lower et cetera. I think your users would appreciate this as well.
  • Why no iPad app?

The app works great for amalgamating your financial information and displaying it in a sensible manner. Unfortunately there is no iPad version. This would be a welcome addition to the app experience.

Me encanta la app, me parece súper útil, intuitiva y fácil de usar. Solo me gustaría poder personalizar los colores de las cuentas que están conectadas porque actualmente todas están del mismo color.
  • Doesn’t work

I have been waiting 3 months for them to resolve an issue. It takes them 6 days to response to messages and instead of fixing it. They write oh try this and btw I’ll respond in a week once that doesn’t work.

The macOS version really seems to struggle and slows down a lot especially when managin transactions in bulk.
  • Missing some features

Pros: • easy to navigate, all sections are easy to find and utilize. • categories are nice, you can group categories under a larger group name which is nice when budgeting • can link Amazon and Venmo to show the actual product name or transaction name (but there are syncing issues, see below) Cons: • rule-making is limited. Other apps have more options, such as making rules for a specific $ amount (less than, greater than, or equal to a specified value). These other apps also allow multiple criteria for rules, such as transaction name + a specific dollar amount/range. This allows for specifying certain types of transactions from the same account. For example, I’d like to specify any purchase that’s less than $30 dollars from a gas station as “convenience store” as the category and anything over that amount as “car/transportation/gas”. • you can’t bulk edit transaction names! It’s incredibly annoying because most transactions come thru as random words/letters/numbers and I want to rename all of them at once. This can also be easily accomplished automatically with another rule criteria: any transaction name that equals or contains “XXX” should be renamed to “ZZZ.” Instead you have to rename each individual transaction. • Amazon account and other financial accounts have to be reverified daily or very frequently, and the verification process is time consuming. Very frustrating to not have accounts sync automatically and for longer periods of time. Defeats the purpose of this app when I can’t have a visual of all account amounts when I open the app.
  • Best financial tracker app

I love this app!! It gives me a comprehensive view of all my finances. I love its simplicity, but it also allows you to get granular with the details if you want to. Setup was a total breeze. I also love that there’s a Mac app available too. My only request is for the team to bring native iPad support, but I’m sure the devs are working on it now!
  • Good when it works

I’ve been enjoying the app since switching from Mint, but unfortunately this app has now failed me. I have an issue with connecting to the bank who holds my mortgage using all three of the providers Copilot provides. Because my mortgage is shown as a “negative” account in my bank, the scrapers are picking this up as a negative balance as well - assuming that the bank owes me money on the mortgage. It’s made my net worth completely dysfunctional and worthless, and for the past YEAR I’ve contacted support for it with zero results. They’ll offer to correct the balance to what it should be, but once it updates it goes right back to negative, which further destroys your net worth graph. It’s unacceptable that a paid service still has this issue after so many support tickets submitted that have been closed with no resolution.
  • Not actually useful for budgeting

I started using Copilot as a Mint émigré looking specifically to replace budgeting features. Encouraged by Mint history import support I purchased and attempted to migrate history. That was a mess and required substantial manual fixing of issues. I still don’t have full history of budgets worked out totally. I have been able to recreate in spreadsheets however. The worst part is the budgeting features are so incomplete that I’ve reverted to using spreadsheets to actually track rollover and step changes in budgets without affecting past history. Autocategorization methodology feels like it’s 20+ years old. I gave an extra star for design, otherwise I’d give a lone star. Still looking for a non-spreadsheet replacement for Mint.
