  • Very Buggy. Needs more testing

This app seems to still be very immature and in need a of more testing. The random scheduling function doesn’t work. It also throws an error every time the tester blows through the breathalyzer. Needs a lot more testing.
  • Terrible Ap!

This ap malfunctions all the time!! Do NOT use it as your sole means of proving your sobriety. I live in California, flew to New York, all my prior test results switched over to eastern time which made it look like I had been testing 3 hours later than I actually had so my previous morning tests were too late. Then when I got back to California, it adjusted all my test results from New York back 3 hours earlier, so it looked like I hadn’t taken my night tests late enough while I was there. It also gets hung up and will not upload results unless you have a very strong wifi or cell signal. If you accidentally close out of the app or turn off your breathalyzer before the upload is 100% complete, you lose your test completely but sometimes it hangs on the “100% Uploaded” message but never actually uploads. The device that the initial subscription comes with charges with a USB cord, so if the battery dies and you need to take a test right away you’re screwed. It should have an alkaline battery backup option. I could order a backup device that uses batteries from their website, but it seems ridiculous to spend MORE money to have ANOTHER device— the first one should just work! I cannot rely on this thing!!!
  • STAY AWAY

I have tried to make the breathalyzer work that they sent but it continually sends errors. The fact that their equipment and software hasn’t worked and the no refund policy would make me stay stay away!! Especially since the links to cancellation of their services are “not working”. Sounds like a good service and wish it worked as advertised.

This is the worst app ever! I’m going to have to return the unit to Amazon because I can’t use the app. I set up an email and password and it won’t let me login. There’s no Customer Service there’s nothing. It’s pathetic. Complete waste of my time
  • Awesome Support for Sobriety

I wanted to write in to thank you for creating such an amazing device and service. I have struggled with sobriety for 5 years and have been in and out of treatment for alcoholism. Having relapsed and not being able to fight off the disease has caused major problems in my relationships, career and health. After completing treatment with a major medical system, I found BACTrack View and added this to my recovery support plan. I elected into this program and signed up for a year to help demonstrate my commitment to sobriety and rebuilding trust. This device is much more than a tool. It is a key component to helping me remain accountable, but also regain trust from the ones I love. This is a great asset to recovery and doesn’t always have to come by way of a parole officer or court ordered mandate. It is a great tool for the regular person who wants to turn their life around. Thank you.

I understand the need for this app and product. Accountability and sobriety go hand in hand. I am thankful that my freedoms and employment didn’t hinge on this app’s performance, as I know some people’s do. Too many times, the app failed to work, endlessly spiraling after an attempt, looking for a signal, and leaving me anxious. Would I make the test in time? Have to head to another location with a stronger signal. Perhaps yet another update was in order!? This dilemma made my school, work, and commute exercises in needless anxiety. Moreover, on more than one occasion, I tested positive for alcohol because of a system error and had to take off work to take a blood test to confirm my sobriety. Again, this is an essential tool, but the execution and performance are too unreliable. It’s sad to think someone’s reputation, employment, or freedom suffered from this app.
  • Avoid 2.6.5 - Super Slow Updates

Version 2.6.5 Good: - Added 3 minutes from the first alert to the "first reminder". I imagine the next reminder is 15 minutes after that. - Added a "Later" option for upgrade Installation. Very handy if you have marginal cell coverage. VERY BAD: - It takes 90 seconds(!) to upload the data on a good connection. I'm not sure what will happen if the connection is poor. You can't do *anything* on the phone during that time. Very annoying. BAD: - The recent update notes are useless “bug fixes.” Even though significant changes are made.

Why did you change the functionality? It’s mot as smooth and is inconsistent. It takes twice as long to test with the uploading. “If ain’t broke don’t fix it!” Words to live by before you make anymore changes. This was a swing and a miss!
  • Calendar Error

It was made aware to me that the tester can see on their calendar view how many tests they have pending for that day so for them they could essentially stay sober until their tests are complete for the day and then drink one the scheduled tests are over. Would be nice if that loophole could be fixed.
