  • Nothing Works

I got a year subscription through ABCmouse and I can’t even link the profile because none of the links work. Not to mention the instruction email doesn’t even match what’s on the Home Screen. There is no “gear icon”.
  • Doesn’t work! Poor customer service! Waste of money

I’ve just purchased the app with a yearly subscription. The app doesn’t load any books. There’s nothing to read. When I reach out to customer support I got irrelevant responses such as clear the cache of the browser, use different browser and etc. I kept telling the support agent that this doesn’t run on a browser but an iPad app. I still kept getting irrelevant responses. They don’t refund my money back either! I paid for nothing!!!
  • Are you charging for this?

The app loads a webview in which no links actually work. I can’t sign up, can’t do anything but futilely click dead links. Also, the App Store description states the age group is 2-12, but the web page lists this as 2-10. Not a high quality offering.

  • Money grab? Zero Spanish books!

They advertised this to me as a bonus if I signed up for abc mouse for a year. They made it look like their were lots of books including a Spanish section. I almost took them up on the offer. A few months later I’m trying the app. There are many sections listed with zero books in them. I don’t even think this app is all that new. Save your money this reading app is dinky and sad.

  • Don’t buy for grades 4+

Update: after a few iterations, Customer service refunded my annual subscription and provided complementary access to the company’s other 2 apps. So while this app is not useful for grades 4+, their customer service team made it right. I would encourage the company to change their marketing for Reading IQ App is a complete ripoff for grades 4 and above - maybe 15 books in total for all of grades 4-6. Customer service acknowledges books for these levels are limited and actually suggested selecting the lower levels. Right - I have a 5th grader and you want me to give them 2nd grade books. The worst part is you can’t see the selections available until *after* you pay!!!! Terrible product with false advertising!!!

My kids love this game they won’t stop talking to me about it so that’s why I download a game and it’s so much fun better than an actual book
