    Recently I reopened my MasterClass App to find that all of the “classes” I’d paid for were unavailable to me!!! This is very poor management and control of your credibility. I refuse to pay all over again… My original payment was in the $400 range…worthless investment

    I recently wanted to watch some of the content on an airplane and the downloaded videos just did not load! What a waste. I hope the development team considers improving the app for offline mode.

  • They removed Neil Gaiman and Kevin spacey courses

    MasterClass has a history of cancelling and censoring their courses such as the Kevin Spacey and Neil Gaiman courses whenever the celebrity in the course is seen as controversial or becomes socially unpopular. Tired of the censorship on Masterclass platform.

  • Limited usefulness

    Sadly, very little of the content can be cached for offline viewing, which greatly limits the usefulness of the app, especially for travelers. There’s also no easy way to identify which of the few offerings can be downloaded, so hunting those down is frustrating and time consuming.

    The content is mostly decent to good. Nice videography and I feel like I’ve got some good tidbits so far in a multitude of subjects. That said, this app itself is abysmal. Like someone got their teenage grandson to ‘design’ it in a week. There is no app available on Vizio smart tv and if you try to cast it there is only sound. So you’d best plan to use your phone or have a Fire stick. Once you are able to get in, the most annoying thing is that the series does not auto play. After every 10 minute chapter you have to manually fast forward to the next episode. Archaic. In addition, tracking classes you want to watch is no picnic either. If you watch a trailer it counts that as you watching the class and asks if you’d like to resume which is odd. It would be great to have the ability to hide classes you’re certain you don’t want to watch so they don’t pop up every time you open the app.

    So I get locked into a whole year of this app and it doesn’t even have Picture in Picture support for iPhone. Most of the “masterclasses” I want to watch need video and I need to use PIP for that.

    Got the subscription as a gift and was excited. When I redeemed it realized it was not of any interest to me. Contacted support because it said if you not satisfied within 30 days you get refund,I get response that because I redeemed it I would not be able to get it which doesn’t make sense to me. I feel that it should have been mentioned in the email . Also if anything it should be the same rules for the person giving and receiving the gift. Now my daughter is out of money and I have a @white elephant” gift

  • App is so glitchy

    I can’t watch a single master class in order because the app video freezes. Even when casting or watching directly on my phone. I love the class content but can’t get through any of it cause of the tech errors and bugs
