I could no longer send texts and went through the upgrade process MULTIPLE times, even reaching out to support, with no solution. I am cancelling and going with a different provider/app.

I’ve been using OpenPhone for a while now, and it has completely transformed how I manage business calls and messages. The app is incredibly user-friendly, allowing me to separate my business and personal communications seamlessly.
  • Not for a single person business

This is a cool and useful communication app for a larger business with multiple users with lots of communication and marketing but if you’re just a small business who just texts clients to book appointments and not marketing texts, this isnt for you. You have to become registered to set up SMS and that takes alot of steps. I was continuously rejected even though I have a legit business with an EIN and then the customer service stopped emailing me about it. The process isn’t worth it.. I missed out on a lot of client calls and texts.

Open phone is very user friendly. They should consider placing restrictions and giving more user permission options. All team members should not be allowed to have total power to delete and modify contacts.

  • Not easy to cancel one week free subscription

I tried to cancel my subscription, and the instructions said to go to payments and billing but when I went there, there was no cancel my subscription button, so I had to write a message to them, asking them to do it, so hopefully it will get done.

Can’t even get past the sign up sequence. Just continually trying to load and nothing is happening.
  • Awful Customer Support

Only offers email support from India. This is not US based like they pretend to be. Also lie saying they legally can’t offer caller ID from employees. But there are several US based services providers who can. Also canceled a port without permission. AWFUL SERVICE!

Open Phone has allowed us to have 6 admin monitoring the phone lines and any of us at any time can see a summary of the phone calls, listen to the previous phone calls, see the text threads, and have internal conversations about what we need to do to follow up, etc. It’s brilliant. We wish we had this for the last 10 years of business. For any business owner who wants to have a pulse on their admin and their clients, this is a phenomenal resource.
