It’s like the developers didn’t even try. The interface is extremely glitchy. Almost unusable.

While I do like the toaster to the app, I'm finding that is harder to find shoes, whether I've watch them before or not. Also, the constant reorganizing of my watch queue, and the fact that the simulcast tab is a mix of every simulcast from the few seasons instead of the current season are a few things I'd like to see improve. I would love it if the iOS version was more streamlined like the Android version. The Android version needs improvement also, but by far is a better mobile experience of HiDive than the iOS version, which always seems to be the case when it comes to streaming apps.

I have no issues with any other streaming service. In my two times trying to use Hidive: - I can’t turn up or down the volume - Anything I watch pauses repeatedly - When trying to change audio settings it just doesn’t work - Is a waste of money

The search option is horrible. Most of the time it doesn’t even work and doesn’t find anything. To search for an anime, you would need to browse through everything manually. You would also need to add series (not episodes) to your watchlist as the continue watching feature will often just let you watch that one episode without the option to go to the series overview, next, or previous episodes. You would need to go find the series again if you want to watch the next episode. As others have mentioned, skipping forward and back is also only done in 30 seconds increments.

Five stars for me honestly it’s a really good app. I can watch anime freely..

This app was absolute garbage for years. But. Now it’s been updated and is actually navigable. Love the addition of the calendar, too. Finally able to justify subscribing to your service now. Keep up the good work and continue to be competitive.

Interface is awful. The app on the tv doesn’t even show your watchlist. Finding the next show on my list doesn’t appear. The watchlist doesn’t show. Finding shows is difficult. I don’t want to have only one company providing all my anime, but HiDive as is only has like one show a season worth watching. Trying to even open up the app to find the show that you know, you’ve been watching for 8 weeks doesn’t even come up… makes it hard to justify paying for this.

Chromecast on this app is an absolute vomit inducing abomination where you’ll find yourself having to restart the app a few times every episode. Not sure which unqualified hacks designed this but hope one day their collective brain cells can merge into a functional human that can create a workable app

Everything is so cluttered together, the auto play never works, poorly made app, only reason it gets two stars is because it has good anime to watch, but there is no continue watching, 95% of the time when i get off a video it tells me i'm in a different spot or haven’t even started said episode, it’s not worth subscribing

Credit where credits due. About 2 years ago I left a pretty scathing review of this app and how god awful the interface was (which was completely justified). While I can’t say it’s anything impressive, the app has now been greatly improved, and I feel like it is about time I left them a positive review for making these changes. Still, it’s a bit absurd that it took them so long to finally make these changes, but hey, I’ll take what I can get.
