As a retired software developer, I can appreciate excellent work, and Jake’s unique touches on the user interface make this one of the most intuitive applications available for the iPhone. If you haven’t already, you should look at the other apps he’s created for pollen count, tides, earthquakes and hurricanes. The tracker showed a line of lightning and convection over Atascadero this morning when in fact there is no convective activity anywhere nearby. Bad data can mean bad forecasting directly affecting launch operations at nearby Vandenberg Space Force Base. Bad on ya.

The radar feature rarely works, and takes an extremely long time to upload with fast Wi-Fi. The national weather Service has better maps and models for free.
