  • Wrong Language!

I've tried many times to make this app work as I enjoy the musical choice, but every time I open it the screen appears in Russian! I have no idea why this happens, as I live nowhere near a Russian-speaking area. After numerous inquireis to the company and to Apple it still gives me the same Russian language screen. Since I love the actual music - and I'm paying for a. subscription - my only alternative is to go to the CalmRadio website and login there.

I thought I could get Calm meditation on my laptop...nope, so I purchased this in addition to the calm meditation for iphone. Some of the sections only have two songs?? Um, I want to listen for hours but not the same two songs over and over. The player/screen itself is cramped and strange. But, that's an old, non tech saavy person talking too. :(
  • TWO payments for one app?

I don't understand why I pay $70 a year for the Calm app on my phone but cannot use the mac version without ads. Ridiculous.
  • Good service - lousy App

It's unthinkable to me when such a simple type of App has faults in it's functionality. While it does it's job as a streaming app in delivery of the content, it really bothers me that, as a selling point, a major feature doesn't work - which is the backgrounds. Essentially when I use the app, I am forced to accept a simple black screen as the app plays, even though I have chosen a back ground. I have looked up in the support section the issue and the applicable documents talk about buttons and options that don't exist. It's like the support document is referencing another app all together.. So their "stunning backgrounds" just don't work. I'm not sure why this bothers me so much- but it does - or maybe that I am paying twice as much as XM Radio and they can't even get a simple feature to work. Ugh - lazy programming..... poor work ethic...
  • Happier now in Big Sur

After upgrading to macOS 11.2.3 Big Sur, this stand alone app is happier and allows me to come and go from other apps, while keeping the "Now Playing" dialogue present in the app screen. Thanks folks!
  • More App Store Crap

Why Apple lets apps like this copycat masquarading as the Calm app exist I will never understand. It makes no sense. All users would be better served knowing that there is no Calm app for macOS than spend 20 frustrating minutes trying to figure out why their Calm password doesn't work. How much money has accidentally been spent on this imposter? How much time? How much frustration? And for what? Do the right thing, Apple.
  • Very limited works for some major composers

I decided to just choose Tchaikovsky as my first channel as I'm very familar with his music. I stopped listening to it because is seems to have a very limited range of his works (and is especially heavy on the Suites, which are not really favorite for this composer). So far, I've heard 4 of his 7 symphonies, but the one I hear the most is the Manfred Symphony - not his best. If Calm is low on available works on CD, I can send them about 1,000 free of charge as I really don't use a CD player any more.
  • Why on earth is my app in chinese???

  • Versatile, Extensive, AND In a Class of Its Own!

This has become my "Go-To" enviromental music app while working from home. HUGH variety of "background modification" music that is excellent for concentration, study, or just "coolin'" out. LOTS of options for mindfulness exercises such as yoga, tai chi, hanna somatics, etc. I have used iTunes for many years and I like it but it doesn't compare with Calm, not at all! In addition, I use Sirius XM and like it but it is not the same as Calm. Calm is "just much better" when I need music or sounds to encourage my brain to focus.
  • Poor Customer Support

The stream cuts out without warning. Right now, it's not working at all, and I've tried everything. Calm Radio's customer support is as leisurely and unhurried as the music. Maybe I'll hear from them in a couple of days if/when they get around to it. Meanwhile, I'm paying for a service that doesn't work. Bad experience. My advice is to find some other streaming source.
