  • Guitar Hero for a real guitar

If you are looking for a fun interactive guitar learning app, this is excellent. I have used both this and fender play. While the Fender app is good, the lessons often times felt tedious. These lessons are fun and more like playing guitar hero. So far I am enjoying this app a lot.

    1. I use the tuner on their and in the lesson it says it’s too high when I’m using the app to tune it. 2. The app crashes and won’t let me do the next lesson on the app and I have a premium membership, it’s so annoying I just want to learn yet the app won’t let me progress Quite upset
  • Love this app, just a question

    Why is there no Aerosmith?
  • It’s ok

The app doesn’t have any songs that I like at all and tuner won’t work and the “play guitar great” keeps on showing up and sometimes that thing won’t let me even play a lesson but it’s fine.
  • Great, one suggestion

I am really enjoying the app. It really took me over the hump I have been in from self-learning on YouTube over the past few years. One suggestion would be something like a “Continue From Where You Left Off” icon. Sometimes after the app shuts down I have trouble remembering what I was working on previously or how to find it.
  • Best guitar app

Completed a year with the Gibson app. Tried a few other apps as well. Got to say Gibson’s app offers the most thorough, complete lessons for guitar players at most levels (can’t comment on challenges of expert players). My first session was worth more than the price of the app! I started playing 55 years ago. Played for 20 years until military, family commitments and lately health challenges dominated my time. Now retired, I wanted to learn and improve. Took college courses which were great but I wasn’t progressing as fast as I could. Lessons are challenging and cover several aspect such as riffs, leads, chords, picking, and solos to name a few. Further, their ‘guide’ section covers a myriad of ‘how-tos’—scales, bends, in the style of players (slash, Santana, etc). Point is unless you’re an accomplished expert, this app will keep you as busy as you want to be and allow you to learn as much as you want to. As you progress, you’ll advance to different levels where youll be aligned with other players. Just the mere standing with these players will motivate you. Start slow. 10-15 min a day 3-5 days. Now I play 2-3 hours a day 5-6 days a week and wish I could play more. Enjoy and rock on!
  • Couple Problems

The app is fun and works great but could you add a couple of stuff? It will really be a dig improvement if you add these two things… - Please provide a little warm up for when you get into the app? I am really busy and sometimes don’t have enough time to play my guitar and jumping straight into what I was learning can be challenging and frankly extremely upsetting. - Can you also make levels that know your skill level specifically and will help you to open new areas with confidence. When I follow the main course, it just assumes my skill level and puts me on the course everybody takes. Adding these would definitely enhance your app and make the fee that we all pay worth it! Oh also I forgot, will you PLEASE add a feature that teaches you how to read sheet music notes so if we want to go professional, we can? One more thing, you should add a feature where you can create your own music and play it so if you ever forget it, you can come straight back to it.
  • Great app, with one huge glitch

This has been awesome for getting into guitar and getting from bad to decent. But: if your internet goes up and down AT ALL, it will give you an error after you finish and not give you credit for the entire song. Come on Gibson, that’s such an easy coding fix. Really aggravating at moments and it’s the one blemish on a good experience
  • Too expensive

I would be willing like, $10 a month max.. more likely $5 a month. Rocksmith+ failed miserably because of the $20 a month price tag.
  • Takes you into a different world

I have about 3 months with the app, every time I gets me sumerge into a different world where only my guitar, the song, and I are there. Completely fascinated with app, the lessons’ structure, and with the coaches. And yes, I have improved on my guitar skills. Thank you
