Mindvalley: Self Improvement

It is beyond frustrating that there is no way to reach out to Support through the app. I don’t know if that’s by design, but it’s obnoxious. And now they’ve added an AI bot. In the functionality of the app has become useless.

At the age of 66, I am learning life skills that will be valuable and help me & so many people from here on out. I’m so grateful and happy that this is for us to continue our lifetime education

I was excited to use the sleep meditations for my long international flights, but NO. They are no longer available for download. Netflix, Apple, HBO all allow you to download. These guys need to figure out their copyright tech. Can’t be that hard.

I called last year and cancelled my account after it auto renewed. I was told that the auto renew was non refundable but that I would be cancelled for 2025. Now its 2025 and the plan auto renewed, and I cant even get to a customer service page, it just keeps putting me on a loop. I like Vishen, I would love to see him put the same kind of excellence into his app.

I was very skeptical about the entire app but really , I’m seven days in and I can see and feel a lot of changes

2 major complaints: there is no auto-play or continuous play option, and you have to be actively in the app or it stops playing. You have to click on the next section, lesson, etc., in order for it to play, or it stops. Hello, go to next, I will stop when I’m ready. You have to be in the app or it pauses when your screen times out - some of us prefer to listen in lieu of staring at a video, even for the video lessons. For those of us who would actually voraciously consume this content, these issues are irritating beyond belief. I want to be able to listen in my car, in my office, on my headphones, while I’m folding laundry, etc., without having constant interruptions. I don’t want to have to find my phone to physically force it to play beyond 5-12-30 minutes. I could be SO much further into the content and programs without these stupid roadblocks that impede my progress! The content is great, *I am your target audience!*, I want to rip through it - I understand most people now have the attention span of a gnat, but for those of us who would prefer to consume hours of content at a time, these issues are hugely annoying! So much so that I leave the app and go to use something else. For most people, the format is maybe fine, but dear cow, give the people what they want - autoplay - & we want it now! 😝 I’m a reader, but I prefer to use audible over MV, so I’m learning when I’m driving or doing mundane tasks. Audible, YouTube, podcasts, all of these can be set to auto-play-the-next-bit and can be listened to on your phone, headphones, or car stereo **without needing to physically hit a screen button to go to the next section AND keep swiping to stay in the app past about 5-6 minutes when it pauses.** GAWD. Why?! For that reason, I am not paying the annual membership, but monthly as I go; I don’t know that the format allows me to consume content at a rate that makes a year membership worth it, I’ll pick and choose a few things, and bounce out. Also, not everyone can visualize - aphantasia, google it - so alternatives to being told to visualize for those of us who are verbal vs pictorial would be swell. 🧠 ⚫️ 😤 This review is really more for the creators (and the other people who find the “multiple short videos without autoplay” format annoying) than your average Joe who is just toe-dipping into self-improvement for the first time. Really, Mind Valley, you should gift me free lifetime access for this valuable feedback - preferably, AFTER you fix these two annoying issues - please and thank you. At this rate, it would take a lifetime to get through the dang content because you make it harder than it needs to be; I’m into the info & ideas, the set-up of the app is 👎 P.S. Thieves who auto renew and don’t refund. $320

I am having difficulty getting to the login page.

My advice is to not download this app. I downloaded it last year went in wasn’t wild by. It didn’t use it. It was not in my Apple subscriptions to cancel so I was unaware of any auto renewal. As I canceled everything through Apple subscriptions. There was an email sent only one that stated for a renewal coming in an email that I don’t use anymore because it was from last year And they charged me $300. And refuse to refund even though I requested cancellation on the day of. They stated I was beyond the 15 day period. Even writing to them multiple times and having escalated the company still is unethical and deceptive in their behaviors. So my suggestion to all is to not download do not use. Do not give them any money.
