Description

Use Firefox Focus for everything you want to keep separate from your main browser — for all those get in get out and forget about it moments. No tabs, no fuss, no muss. Block ads and online trackers too. One tap, and your browsing history is completely destroyed. Blocking distracting ads also means faster page loads which means Focus gets you where you want to go a lot faster. Firefox Focus is the perfect get in/get out, search and destroy, I’m on a mission that’s none-of-your-business — web browser. NEW DISTRACTION-FREE DESIGN When you open Focus, you just get the awesome bar and the keyboard for super quick searching. That’s it. No recent history, no past sites, no open tabs, no ads, no distractions. Just a simple, minimal design with menus that make sense. ONE TAP TO DELETE HISTORY Erase your history, passwords and cookies with just a tap of the trash button. CREATE SHORTCUTS Pin up to four shortcuts on your home screen. Get to your favorite site even quicker without typing anything. FASTER BROWSING WITH AD BLOCKING & TRACKING PROTECTION Firefox Focus blocks many ads you’d normally see on web pages so you get much faster page load speeds, which means you get to the stuff you want a lot faster. Focus also blocks a wide range of trackers by default, including social trackers and those sticky ones that come from things like Facebook ads. BACKED BY A NON-PROFIT Firefox Focus is backed by Mozilla, the non-profit that fights for your rights on the web, so you can trust it not to sell your data. Update: I would downgrade to zero stars if possible due to another serious privacy issue with Firefox Focus. FF Focus must be lacking my IP address. I am not only using Focus with all tracking disabled and all tracking blocked or disabled in iOS, AND I am using a VPN to connect through a USA server, but a website I accessed (for a site also in the USA) correctly identifies that I am in a different country.so either Firefox Focus is leaking my IP (most likely based on the other privacy lapses below) or my VPN is leaking my location. Based on my device, FF Focus, and VPN settings, the website should not be able to geolocate. Downgrading to one star due to a serious privacy issue. I was browsing properties on Zillow.com as a guest (not logged into any Zillow account) using the iOS FF Focus browser. In less than one hour, I started receiving a series of emails from Zillow.com promoting listings of other properties I had not looked at, all located in the same zip code where I had been looking. In fact, each email read, “Here’s a new home recommendation similar to the listings you recently viewed.” I have personalized ads turned off, app tracking turned off for all apps on my phone, and I have Tracking Protection turned on in Firefox Focus, yet clearly, Firefox either allows websites to uniquely identify me or Firefox is actively selling my browsing and phone’s unique device identifier data to the websites I have visited. I’m ceasing using Firefox Focus immediately and deleting it. As far as I’m concerned, all claims about protecting user privacy in Firefox Focus are demonstrably false.

Why the F is the trash button in a place where you accidentally hit it multiple times a day. Come on man. Easy fixes for developers.
  • Doesn’t block ads.

Doesn’t block ads. What good is an ad blocker if it doesn’t do the one thing I want it for?
