It’s worth the hype, it’s perfect for sports training or lifting to look and feel healthy!
  • Decent Interface, Lots of Exercise Issues

The idea of fitbod is great: make it simple to generate, track, and progress on a periodized program. While it is good at generating and tracking, the exercises themselves are lacking and sometimes mis-categorized. Lunges, for example, are categorized as a quad exercise. They are, primarily, a glute exercise. There is no way to change that in the app. The app also misses some fundamental hypertrophy A and S tier exercises. Lean-in dumbbell lateral raise? Nope. Arnold side dumbbell raise? Nope. Low bar back squat? Nope. There are a TON of top tier exercises missing and no method of remediating. I seriously wish I hadn’t wasted the money… there are no refunds.
  • Great app… Pretty much

Fitbod is a really good app and it’s fairly priced, easy to use, and thorough. They could add more flexible workout routines, like Arnold, and others.

My first two months it had a learning curve but I started to enjoy it. 3rd month was the start of the fall. Glitches, freezing up, not logging workouts. 4th month is straight glitches. Can’t even select an alternative exercise without closing the app and re-opening to select an alternative. Makes a 45 minute workout impossible as you’re “fixing” the app for at least 10 minutes and your “rest” periods end up being multiple minutes to get your next exercise ready. If you’re a sub and you’re willing to do exactly what it suggests every time, maybe it’s for you. But if you don’t want to do the same workout (yes even when it’s supposedly random), this is not your huckleberry.

Did a 90 minute workout it did not sync with Apple Health . I did a one day try and not worth the frustration for me .
  • Working out simplified

This app takes over the mental load of working out and that’s exactly what I needed. I don’t have to plan my workouts, I can easily make adjustments in real time whenever I want, it keeps track of everything (workouts, weights, progress, streaks, recovery, targets). I just show up and workout.
  • Wonderful aside from one thing

I love this app and have used it to stay consistent in the gym for nearly two years now. BUT I’ve been trying to incorporate more stretching before/after my workouts, and I’ve found it frustrating that the warmups usually are unrelated to the muscle groups being worked out that day. It defeats the purpose of auto generating things. Would love to see this get fixed :).

I have been using this app for almost a year. I had switched to another momentarily due to one major frustration I have using Fitbod. It has you do exercises based on how exhausted certain muscle groups are. It also has you do many supersets which I understand and respect but the execution of exercises is atrocious. For example, it will have you do a squat at 225 and then superset into a deadlift at 185 which requires an exhaustive amount of racking and unracking weights. Or it’ll have you do a smith machine row followed by a superset of cable pull downs. The biggest issue is efficiency, I often have to jump off the squat rack and run across the gym to another machine or area to complete my superset all while hoping that nobody takes my machine while I’m on another exercise. It doesnt capitalize on the fact that you have occupied a machine, like a squat rack, at the beginning of your workout, to send you on errands around the gym to have you return to the same squat rack to do a few sets of bench presses. The layout of the app is great. Everything else I like, I just HATE how it assembles the workouts which is the biggest reason why I use this app at all.
  • Missing something

I love this app. I’ve been using it for a year and being able to click through my sets on my Apple Watch is the best. The only thing I need is for the devs to add a torso rotation machine (obliques.) Most gyms have them and I wish that exercise was in the app
